Published

Hi all,

Starting this thread before the Jan '22 cohort application opens up today (hopefully soon!) I have all the required documents ready to submit, patiently refreshing and hoping the link to apply pops up soon. Let's all connect and keep each other updated on our application process. Good luck to everyone! :)

Don’t worry - you are not alone. I interviewed on November 4th and still have heard nothing.

someone please correct me if they feel my theory is wrong. But most ppl I have spoken to so far said they have received offers for their 3rd option. Is it possible they are waiting to contact those with the offers for the first option last ?

I can imagine some ppl have received offfers for their first option already. But most ppl I have spoken to have said it was their third option. Any insight help! Thanks !

I got an email offer for Pathways/float pool, which was not even one of my preferences, and during the interview I even mentioned that I don’t feel ready to float to multiple units, at least yet. A few people have mentioned that they received phone calls asking if they would opt for float pool, or wait for their preferred units, so your theory sounds reasonable, and maybe they try to fill up float pool first, except for the candidates who were impressive to the hiring managers to be hired for specific units from the get-go? ??‍♀️

Yes ! Because that’s exactly what I’ve been seeing the most is that ppl are getting mostly offers for float pool, their third option or an option that they didn’t even mention !

so far, I’ve seen almost nobody get L&D except for 1 person on FB at Mission Hospital. I know so many ppl applied for that unit.

And I have seen literally no one get notified for the ICU. Most of what I’ve seen so far are those who were contacted the soonest being offered their at choice or an alternative option like float pool.

I am hoping that we will get an update! I constantly keep checking my application status - but nothing. People are messaging their recruiters about their application status but not sure if I should because it said to not send messages.

Yeah exactly I know what you mean I thought about messaging my recruiter but they said it could be two weeks before we heard back, and I think it’s important to follow their directions. I’m going to give it the full two weeks, and if I still hear nothing I will contact them. Even though at that point, I think it will be safe to assume I didn’t get an offer.

I believe I have seen one or two people getting into the ED department at Burbank. I'm not too sure about the L&D at Burbank though. :')

I have also literally not seen anyone get an offer for L&D at orange.

I also think the same. I don't think I got the offer - I do have a job that offered me to work med surg but it isn't a new grad training program.

I saw two ppl get into L&D at Burbank. I think Burbank quickly contacted ppl about offers and especially for ppls first choice. I was referring mostly to the OC locations

Well during my interview I addressed that ICU was my first option, but it was not one of the options at St. Jude according to the unit availability list, and one of the interviewers verified it and stated that ICU was for fellow RNs only.  The closest offer I’ve read so far is Step Down at St. Jude, and then PCU.

Okay got it that makes sense ! That May the case for most of the locations then !

Someone told me that ICU was being offered at St. Joseph Orange for resident RNs but I have not seen anyone post about it yet!

I know a few people have refused float pool, and are waiting for their preferred units, so although it may be a gamble, if they fill up float pool positions, we may see more people post about their preferred unit offers?

Yeah that’s what I’m wondering too. At first it seems like they would contact those first with their first option. But it seems that what I’ve seen the most is that those who have been contacted the soonest were either rejected or offered their third option or float pool.

btw, anyone heard of multiple official rejections going out for Orange or Mission? I heard of an official rejection that went out for Orange after their interview.
