I live in the midwest and I've been seeing that schools have discontinued the LPN and ASN programs. Will the entry level for a nurse be BSN or MSN??? What will happen to nurses that only has an ASN?? I'm more concerned about people that are okay with...

I was considering going for the RN instead of LPN, but from family and friends they are telling me it's a difficult program, especially chemistry & biology. So just to be on the safe side, I think I'll take their advice and go for the LPN program...

I agree and they are getting phased out.

Phasing out lpn's has been around for 40 years but not hospital only wanting BSN's

True. They did drop out or dropped the class. I have NEVER had a conversation with someone that actually passed the classes

Is it worth going to school for a lpn??? Or just stay a medical assistant??? I've heard that it is stressful becoming a lpn. I'm sure the pay is different then a medical assistant. Are their jobs for a lpn?? And are lpn's in demand???
