You absolutely should not and do not need to disclose that. You can bet that will affect the way you are looked at. As long as there is no issue, those are your own personal medical records.

That's sound good. Wish all states would adapt that. Unfortunately many nurses in recovery carrying a license with restriction can't find a nursing job. This will make it possible for those who can't find employment to succeed with this program and m...
I am still waiting to find out what is going to happen with my case. Just a reminder to everyone. I was on a 3 year monitoring agreement for for past DUI in 1997 and I admitted to using drugs back in 2005. All these things too place prior to ever eve...
I've been on a monitoring program since 2012 when I received my RN license. I was scheduled to compete my program in October of this year and ended up drinking a couple beers one night and got called to test the next day. Can't explain how I could ri...
You can never go wrong with a sincere and honest apology. Whether it be by text, email or even in person. It'll be good for and help with recovery. always make amends!

I think it is all in the way your present yourself the day of the interview. I was honest and sincere and basically just asked for a chance to prove myself and I was given it. People are either gonna be accepting to your situation or there not. Ill c...
First of all congrats on all you have accomplished in the last 17 years. That is such an amazing accomplishment !!!!!!! This is a great place to vent and get advice and good support for recovering nurses. However it can not replace what AA or a more ...

Only a few with drug/alcohol problems. Each time I go the group seems a little different. Wide rage of problems from divorcees to people grieving. I appreciate the fact the group/facilitator are always so welcoming. They do workshops, team building, ...
If you feel that strongly about it maybe you should disclose. I was kind of in a similar way when I first went into nursing. Hindsight ........i would have never disclosed my past. When I went for my nursing license I disclosed my past with drugs and...
