Cast net far and wide..not that's its helped me any I've applied to the following all within 100 mile radius from my house in Miami and never got any call back...I even walked on to the floors of the hospitals I had clinical a at and even with recomm...

none anymore, used to be med surg but even they now are being picky cause they can... take what you can get where you can get it and dont worry about salary until your at least 1-2 years in.

i notice alot of "filler" in your resume, a nurse is expected to know skin grafts , surgical wounds, ect ect an HR rep would expect that you know this as it is in your scope of practice so i would do away with those lines under your education explain...

i completely agree to the use of an assessment that actually assess ones competency for the job that is being offered. Not one of these asked a math, reading, or comp literacy question. These were are strictly character assessments..and i even notice...

not sure from where in the US you are located but i know here in miami, all apps for the hospitals are via internet and they ask that you list all licenses and license numbers. therefore here i know its a waste of time/ effort applying before license...

take it, its hard enough getting jobs as a new grad with an adn ( i am a new grad with an ADN ) , waiting on auth to sit for boards. Anyhow, students from my program who graduated before me and are licensed had to move out of state to find jobs, only...

Ah yes the ADN vs BSN debate, i am also very sick of this argument but it is what it is. The fact is that many ADN's are upset because hospitals are now requiring BSN's for employment. We all know that BSN preferred actually means BSN required in 99%...
