I am a new RN with 15+ years experience as a probation officer. As a new RN, do you think I would have enough knowledge to be a nurse in a jail setting? Thanks for your replies!

  13. I like the idea of the Livescribe Pen. I am curious to know how, if in anyway, people have put it to use when their instructors use Power Point presentations and Power Point handouts. Thank you in advance!
  14. Is taking a drug test embarrassing?

As a probation officer (and now happpy nursing student ), ANY urine screen we do is observed as we know unless we watch the urine come from the source, it quite possibly is adulturated, or not from the person who is giving the sample. We have seen ur...

  17. Weekend Only ADN/RN Nursing Program?

The program I'm attending is in Upstate NY through Geneva General Hospital. In Syracuse, there is a program at St. Joseph's hospital and I think Crouse Irving Hospital has one as well.
  18. Taking Pre-Reqs online

Everything about it is the same as registering for a traditional class. Ditto for financial aid.

It is exactly the same as registering and paying for a traditional class. No difference. Financial Aid is the same. There are some degrees available totally online. Google SUNY Learning Network to learn more.

  24. Taking Pre-Reqs online

On transcripts, it does not say "taken online". The online courses are as good as a class room setting if you are a self directed learner.
  25. To Have a Roomate or To Not Have a Roomate...

Having had it both ways, I'd say "no roommate" if I had a choice. If you get a bad one, you can't get rid of them quick enough. ****** equals a strong woman! You go girl!
