I was looking into Excelsior rn to lvn and called to speak to someone at Excelsior. The admissions counselor told me the program is going to be reviewed by the Texas State Board of nursing in 2017. Makes me wonder if I could finish there, and then if...
The problem I have with fb is that I am friends with supervisors and peers at work, and therefore can't rant about work. Which is all this amounts to. I work in LTC where management posted the following notice to nurses. "Do not call the doctor for ...
I have recently moved to Nacogdoches Texas from dfw and I am looking for a job. I am an lvn with 18 years experience rehab/ltc. Can anyone here recomend a good place to work, or maybe warn me of places to avoid? Thanks
I am looking at going to Platt college Tulsa"s lvn to rn program. I will take the net test in January. I am excited because it is a 13 month program . I feel like the move to Oklahoma for a 13 month period would be worth it to bypass waiting list an...
Hi all , I am considering a move to Tulsa this summer for school. I am wondering what lpn salaries are like out there. I am hoping to work weekend doubles at ltc or do crisis care for hospice . Do hospitals in Oklahoma hire lvns ? I am also wonde...
So our facility put up a rack of unmarked, lost and found clothes for families to come and go through before they donate them to the goodwill or someplace. The clothes have been hanging from this rack by the day room all week. I noticed that a lot o...

That hurts my heart. What place does someone so lacking in compassion have in nursing?? I hope some day the nurse who made that ugly comment will have an epiphany about the art of caring. Just wake up one day and go, " Oh... treat people like they m...

CFitzRN One of the things I love about living in the United States is that I as well as you, both have a right to our own opinions and voice.I am a little saddened that your tone is so hostile. It seems a little over the top, but again that is your r...

Uligonzalez My fear of health care reform in our country is that it won't go far enough to help everyone as socialized medicine would. It seems like penalizing people for not having health care is counter- productive. If you are already having tro...
