  1. It is early, but Fall 2021 admission applications are now open. I start things fairly early. This is the only school I'm applying to. I am going the FNP route. I'll also attend their virtual application workshops coming up here in August. I visited t...
  2. Navy Nurse Application Process FY 24

    Congratulations. That's great news.
  3. Navy Nurse Application Process FY 24

I wanted to start a thread here because I can never seem to get consistent answers on these topics. I will be submitting a package to the Navy for their nurse board. My specialty is Med/Surg. So far this is the general information that I have gotten,...
  4. Navy Nurse Application Process FY 24

Actually, I decided to process for Army, Navy, and Air Force and the reason is because all of their processes are slightly different and timeframes as well. It seems to take forever. My goal is just to commission. I don't have a huge preference for o...
  5. FY 2024 Navy Nurse Corps

Cool! Congratulations on being accepted! I spoke to a recruiter today and got the checklist tot put together.
  6. FY 2024 Navy Nurse Corps

Well I know I've been to MEPs this year so I was told I'd be good on that even though it's another branch. Are you Med/Surg? I wasn't sure if they wanted certain things like certs or print outs of hours worked if they require a minimum.
  7. FY 2024 Navy Nurse Corps

OMG! 😳 Is there a reason why it took a year? I am in the process for Army and there has been so much back and forth that at this point I've started contacting other branches.
  8. FY 2024 Navy Nurse Corps

I've just reached out to a recruiter and I'm waiting for information. Did you go through the process and if so, what did your timeline look like?
  9. Nurse heading to Navy ODS

I don't have answers to any of that. I just wanted to know how your application process went from start to finish.
  10. Pmhnp @ Chamberlain

It's also my understanding that you can only double until you get to the practicum courses for chamberlain. So I Started September 2022 and if I calculated correctly with everything doubled up until practicum, I would've graduated somewhere in May 20...
  11. Pmhnp @ Chamberlain

I have found three. Simmons in Boston. Chaminade in Hawaii. UIC Chicago. Simmons actually has an on campus program. The other two are also hybrid.
  12. Pmhnp @ Chamberlain

I just dropped out of the program after my 5th class. I was doubling but I decided that I didn't like how sometimes my requests to double classes were approved and sometimes they were denied all while having above a 3.0. It becomes an issue because I...
  13. Pmhnp @ Chamberlain

I am starting this program August 29th.
  14. DePaul RN-MSN (BSN) Fall 2022

I applied to the MSN program and already have a BSN. There wasn’t much information about sample schedules online. When does the practicum start and how many semesters is it? Has anyone been notified of a decision yet? I plan to move to Chicago in Dec...
  15. I got my license number but it said I failed

Not true. I got my ATT 1/6 and scheduled my test for 1/7. Texas had a license number posted on 1/7 but when I went to verify on nursys it said “Grad permit (pre exam)”. I feel like I failed so IDK.
  16. New HH RN Case Manager

Wow this is the best answer so far. The whole idea of not being paid if charting takes me longer than it’s supposed to has turned me off of the job. I ended up rescinding my acceptance of the offer and taking something else, somewhere else in nurse m...
  17. New HH RN Case Manager

I accepted a position as a HH RN Case Manager that starts in January. I’m a LPN now and I work agency in geriatrics so I’m very familiar with wound care, CPAPs, joint replacements, CVA patients, diabetic patients, etc. I’ve watched some videos of oth...
  18. Home Health Schedule

Hi, I was offered a position with a home health agency. So my offer goes something like, there are 3 full time RNs (including me as a brand new new hire with no experience in HH). So we will have a call rotation. If we don’t have someone contrac...
  19. Racism in Nursing: Is It Real?

I have many stories but I’ll cut it down to a few so you’ll get the picture. A little background is that I’ve been an LPN for 2 years and I’m currently a BSN student in the central Illinois area. 1. When I was at clinical last week, I was having a c...
