Yes my unit is actually a Level IV as well we have ECMO and Cardaic babies too....but like prmenrs said it is not really official designation from what I have heard from my co workers on that subject. Regular assignments for us are 3-4 feeders grow...

Ive seen the versed used and the MSO4 as well I have not seen Ativan as much. The most common used drugs of choice on the vented neonates are Versed, Fentanyl, and Ciss...which are used on our unit.............:roll

Then NICU I work in just hang the gavage feedings to NG tubes mostly I have not seen it done to GT as yet. but we do not just walk away we monitor the child at all times. I hope that helped.
