I have a job as a case manager that is 8 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. I work one weekend a month. When I work the weekend I get the Friday off before and the Monday off after. I don't have a palm pilot and don't know what I would use one for in my positon as a case manager

It's a M=F position, 8-5. We have some nurses who work 24/7 (By choice, more $$$). I, myself have a good boss who lets me come in at 6:30AM and leave at 3:30PM. Beats the socks off working every other weekend and mandatory overtime, doesn't it?

Good luck!

I have been a UR/CM for a while. I love it! Palm piolets are GREAT if you need to input your notes in a computer system that accepts the information. You may "hot sync" the notes while you're doing them on the unit. I don't know if InterQual has a palm-version, but I think those criteria on a palm would be helpful.

Our case managers work M-F days, weekends and holidays off. I think a palm is great for phone numbers, calendar, notes, etc. you can get creative as to what you use it for. I am addicted to mine now!!!
