nursing is a second career for me as well. I am half done with my program.
I received my undergrad degree in Biology and worked in a genetic research facility for 3 and a half years before going on to nursing school.
jobs I had while in high school and as an undergrad-waitressing for a catering company.
I worn alot of different "hats", worked at a fast food restaurant in high school, local library, waitressed, drove a semi truck for a year with my husband. I also have worked in the corporate world also, as a Quality Assurance Auditor, a Quality control lab technician/chemist. But decided to go back to school in 2004 and graduated with my BSN in 2007.
During high school worked at my family's architecture firm as a secretary or delivery person. Worked for the CIA and the Navy Department while in college. Got my BS in General Science with minor in Math, then an MBA in Information Systems Management. Worked as a computer systems analyst for 2 years, then managed my family's architecture firm for 19 years (everything from the accounting, contracting, marketing/PR, human resources.......), volunteered as an EMT-B then Paramedic since 1995, and finally went to nursing school. Been an ER nurse for almost 2 years and love it!!!
