NOW I am considering American University of health sciences, it's ha accredited from CCNE, but not WASC..I have considered going here, and also contacted other school...who will accept the BSN from here.
So what do you guys think?
Opinion ?
Thank you for all your comments, It really means a lot!!, I think the expectations from family, pushing, just was thinking my other options. But i will be waiting for another semester.
When my family got pushy with me I told them I would be more than happy to go to the expensive private school - if they wrote the check. It shut them up quick.
Wait another year and keep trying, save yourself the money, and keep working as a LPN.
I didn't return to school until I was a LPN for five years; I was thankful for my experience and the BSN program I went to helped bridge the gap to my base; I may have not gotten that experience if I rushed back to school; I am grateful that I built my career then kept going step by step.

If you want to pursue NP, do not go to a for-profit institution. Your credits won't transfer and you won't get accepted to many post-graduate programs because of this. The lure of "get it now" may feel hard to resist, but in the long run, waiting to get in to a better BSN program will be better for you. You won't have massive debt and you'll be able to move on to pursue your goals.
Since you're already an LVN, look for RN programs that have a fast track for advance standing students. Our program does this (LPN, paramedic, respiratory therapist, etc) and the seats are NEVER full. Which means those who qualify with advanced standing always get in.
Then you simply bridge RN to BSN. The cost is much lower, too.
Good luck :)
