Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

If they do it right. If Biden had a VP who people had confidence in he would not have been tanking. The likelihood of him not being able to continue his duties would not have mattered as much if they felt she could lead well. So in my view she's the whole reason his ticket was not winnable.
There are some really good choices if they are willing to turn things upside down and put Kamala Harris in to win on her own merits alongside of other candidates in a mini primary.
If Biden just endorses her and there's no other option, I doubt she will win against Trump.
In which states does any democratic presidential candidate have a campaign structure? Do you honestly think there will even be consensus around another candidate when they couldn't resist the chaos with a sitting and successful President as the primary winner? The fascists win. They bullied and scared the democrats. Did you read Trump's response? This is going to be ugly, Trump doesn't think there's any impediment to his power now. He has no need to be nice and appeal to the moderates because the progressive vote is now divided.
Buckle up. This is going to be quite a ride.

I do think the chances of any consensus around a different candidate are very low. And that makes me angry at the arrogance of Biden that he thought no one else could take on Trump. As it turned out just about any other could have. As he slowly became weaker and weaker he held on more and more tightly saying he's the only one. From the moment he first announced, I was against his continuing. He sold himself as a transition candidate when running in 2020 because he knew that he was at the end of his career. And then he dug in. The people around him, his family, his advisors should have urged him ease out gracefully with a decent legacy.

His family has treated him horrible.
As PA voter, I've participated in 3 national polls various groups this weekend prior to Biden announcement. One did ask if I'd vote for Kamala, Senator Casey or Dave Mc Cormick, other judging Biden/Trump/ Kennedy.
Smerconish daily poll today 4:45PM EST:
QuoteBetween these two, who would be Kamala Harris' strongest running mate?
- Mark Kelly 49.72%
- Josh Shapiro 50.28%
Josh Shapiro has served as PA county + state Attorney General priror to being current Governor dealing with state Republican controlled Senate and slightly Democratic House getting legislation passed so has more executive experience than Senator and Astronaut Mark Kelly. Hearing Shapiro's name quite allot in past weeks news shows.

We the people chose Biden in the primary... we did that.
If you want to see arrogance, take a gander at the malignant narcissist that the right wing is elevating. He tried to overthrow the government in 2020 and his corrupt influence will be the downfall of this republic.

What does "down fall of this republic mean"? Exactly?
Policies you don't agree with or do you really think that Trump will ascertain himself as a dictator, never leave office and inact Nazi type polices on the US?

It means exactly what I said. Trump is interested in his power not the constitutional limits on a president. His words and actions and legal arguments reveal that truth.
Trump is a mentally ill and corrupt man who is not confined by laws or precedent. He is very much like Hitler and uses the same rhetoric and tactics. I've been very clear about my thinking on this.

So you think he will take similar actions that Hitler did? Like what?
What does that look like? Is he going to round up anyone he doesn't like send them to prison camps and execute them?
What will he do similar to Hitler? Are you refering to a theological similarity or are you saying he will actually take actions that Hitler did?
I know what you think and what you repetaivly said he has done and your speculation on what he thinks. What will Trump do that Hitler did? Specific examples
