Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.
I don't think the left narrative it that Biden is no concern about Biden. Clearly since the debate that hasn't proven the case.
But shut up about it
QuotePresident Biden sent a two-page letter to Democratic lawmakers on Monday to say that "I am firmly committed to staying in this race," saying speculation over his future was helping former President Donald Trump — and that it was time to stop.
"The question of how to move forward has been well-aired for over a week now. And it's time for it to end. We have one job,” Biden said.

Seems that way to you, maybe... but it also seems you think that Trump was a good president and that the events of 010621 were no big deal. That flawed judgment speaks volumes about the logic of your thoughts about the democratic party.
Shrugs.
I don't think you're the only one to use the word "authoritarian" to express concerns about a 2nd Trump presidency. WaPo wrote about recently.
QuoteDonald Trump has been clear about his intentions to govern in a more authoritarian way if he's president again. But what does that actually mean? An authoritarian is someone who amasses power to amass more power, often exploiting gray areas in the law to do it — or ignoring the rule of law outright.

Puberty blockers aren't introducted until ...puberty and the effects are reversible. Young children receive psychological support as a form of transgender "treatment" so technically they are received medical management. If you have evidence of widespread, aggressive or surgical treatment of children, I'd love to see it. The fuss is created by RWM who aren't very bright or curious enough to read what's actually happening. This is a made-up issue isn't anyone's business except the child's and the parents'. I don't know why you would think that you know better than a pediatric endocrinologist ANYTHING about what these families need.
Apparently you believe you know better than the nhs . Not all medical professionals and/or organizations agree that the blockers are reversible.
"Long-term gender-affirming hormone treatment may cause temporary or even permanent infertility"

Please tell me a state that does not provide phycological care or other health care because a child is trans. Tell me a republican bill that refuses health care to trans minors because they are trans....

Trump has said,
"“I know nothing about Project 2025,” Trump posted on his social media website. "I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they're saying and some of the things they're saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”
I put that in the Trump thread with the comment that it's interesting that he knows nothing about it or who is behind it and then makes comments as if he knows about it. But yes, it's clearly has nothing to do with Trump. It's his supporters and allies that it's associated with. Big difference, but it has a connection to Trump nonetheless.
From the Heritage Foundation 2018:
QuoteCopied
President Donald J. Trump at The Heritage Foundation's 2017 President's Club Meeting. Willis Bretz
One year after taking office, President Donald Trump and his administration have embraced nearly two-thirds of the policy recommendations from The Heritage Foundation's "Mandate for Leadership.”
The "Mandate for Leadership" series includes five individual publications, totaling approximately 334 unique policy recommendations. Analysis completed by Heritage determined that 64 percent of the policy prescriptions were included in Trump's budget, implemented through regulatory guidance, or under consideration for action in accordance with The Heritage Foundation's original proposals.
I'm not sure how it all worked out though. I don't think Trump has been so extremely right wing but clearly associates with them and gets their support. But one can understand the concerns even as Trump distances himself from the Heritage Foundation's P2025
He also has a shaky relationship with the HF.
QuoteWhen Donald Trump floats an idea that even the Heritage Foundation thinks is awful, you know it's an irredeemable stinker. But that's the case with his declared intention, if reelected, to "create a new credentialing body" within the federal government that would be "the gold standard, anywhere in the world, to certify teachers who embrace patriotic values to support our way of life, and understand that their job is not to indoctrinate children, but very simply to educate them.”

Bone growth.
Bone density.
Fertility, depending on when the medicine is started.

Until Trump endorses 2025, it's non verified propaganda. A desperate left boogie man.
Yes. Biden most definitely should stay in the race. Right to the end. Eventhough he has little chance.
The weave is keep Joe, lose, get rid of him and let the mask slip. Trump wins they may have to contend with the precedent they have set around finding criminal charges for political opponents. I think the word us "retribution ". Which translates into we did it but you can't.
Yes, I do deal in evidence. P2025 mentions Trump specifically more than 300 times. They wrote this specifically to transition our republic into a Trump centric government where he has absolute authority and no accountability. It's so verified that one of the authors has testified before congress about parts of it. He was the guest witness of the Trump devoted GOP members.
That weave that you describe is baloney. It was epic that you projected Trump's desire for retribution onto democrats. Predictable and shameless. It's almost like you don't know that Trump gave a whole speech about retribution in a second Trump term. He gave that speech in Waco TX, remember? Did you know that Waco is considered a rally cry for right wing extremists. Tim McVeigh was inspired by Waco. It was not an accident that Trump gave a retribution speech at Waco.
Yep. More of the narrative that Trump is the victim of an evil plot to frame him for things he doesn't know anything about. That just sounds crazy to me. Maybe it is crazy to think that evidence is just fabricated and grand juries are corrupt and trial juries are corrupt and everybody in involved in the courtroom is corrupt... everyone except the guy who has a history of lying and cheating.
I keep thinking that this wouldn't have been a very good book. But then, I think that if Trump were to lie his way back into the Oval this could really be part of the prequel to Handmaid Tale.
Since this is the Biden thread I'll add that Joe Biden is a calm, thoughtful and successful chief executive. He has a capable and competent team. Staffing in Biden's white house is stable and comparatively scandal free. We know who Biden's VP is and we know that the VP has already seen a well functioning executive team and has hands on experience. Our economy is doing OK. We don't need to add another right wing extremist POV to either Israel's war or Ukraine's.
Biden, is a man of faith and character. He believes in the rule of law and takes his oath seriously. He hasn't taken from a charity or scammed people out of money in a fake university. Biden is old, but he doesn't lie about election results or documents or ideology. Biden will fight for our constitution and for our rights. Voting rights and reproductive rights are under threat from religious conservatives across the country. Biden will work to make those rights national again.

Also, from your article:
Quote
For transgender and gender-diverse youth who have gender dysphoria, delaying puberty might:
Improve mental well-being.
Ease depression and anxiety.
Improve social interactions with others.
Lower the need for future surgeries.
Ease thoughts or actions of self-harm.
These seem like important benefits.

Yeah. So you said several times. Fallacy of ad nauseum.
Handmaid's tale? Loool. Nice fear mongering. Do you really believe that?
I think it will be more like Game of Thrones. Conplete with imaginary magical dragons. About as credible as the "Trump will do the Handmaids Tale". ....
And with all that, only speculation and no evidence that Trump endorses the scarry boogie man 2025. Even in his own words and in the Heritage foundations words. But you just know it right?
Biden wouldn't remember if he committed a crime or not. Except that one time he got arrested during a civil rights demonstration......
The extremist view regarding Isreal and palastine is that Hamas are "freedom fighters" and not terrorist. That's from the left.
