I think if I were an Arizona border control person I would might think it the most important thing going on and a visit from the President would be desired.  

Fox News tried very hard to make it an issue with voters in their obvious Republican campaign at midterms (yes they occupy space in my head) and I believe the mid-terms proved for most of us there are other important things going on.

Mark Kelly has said his own Democrat party fails to understand the problem.  Biden was right there in the area for the purpose of making a self-congratulatory speech.  He spends a quarter of his time at his beach home in Deleware.  

It really is unexcusable that he didn't go to the border, and even worse to say that there are more important things to do.

Polls do show that Democrats rate the border issue lower in priority than other problems, so I can understand a senator from a border state saying that. But yes, we an agree it's a problem to some degree.

I agree that there are more important things to do for America as a whole, and that wasn't a horrible thing to say.  I think Biden didn't go because he didn't want to highlight the problem and make his administration look bad.  He should face these challenges more head on like he has with other issues.

Biden spent every weekend while he was a Senator in Delaware earning him the nickname "Amtrak Joe", and we live in a remote world, so he is working.  As the press secretary says, it's 2022, not 1922.  But I'll give you this criticism because working from the White House is symbolic and traditional.  But in a post-pandemic world, maybe it's time to revisit that idea.

Do you realize probably 90% of all media is left or hard left.  Conservatives have one new channel and maybe 3 newspapers.  

Griner to be released in exchange for an arms dealer.  

She committed a crime and was foolish for bringing drugs in and don't feel bad for her conviction but the sentence was quite harsh and she was used by Putin politically.  The arms dealer had already served 11 years so I guess I'm okay with it.

It's so odd that a republican voter would want to remind us how much time the 45th president spent visiting his golf courses... as compared to any other president.  Additionally, border and immigration concerns were not a high enough priority to get the republicans elected who wanted to highlight it in the recent midterms.

Maybe the republican controlled House will forward some meaningful legislation to improve our immigration policies and laws.  What do you think the odds are that they'll take action?
