President Biden thread

I'll be completely honest, I really wish the GOP ceases to exist! 

From the time of 9/11, I became interested in politics and till this day, I haven't seen any republicans do anything decent! 

Bush used 9/11 with Rumsfield and Cheney to literally bankrupt us in completely illegal wars, going after people who had nothing to do with the fiasco and costing us over $20 trillion, most of which went to defense contractors! 

I think republicans are a blight, a pox on our nation, because they are really just criminals disguised minimally, and because their supporters are so dumb, they stay in power. 

Consider that they haven't won the popular vote in the last seven elections yet have managed to win three terms since 9/11?

Alongside the criminal GOP are the utterly weak and insipid Dems, who allow the republicans to still be in the picture. I would crush Manchin into dust if I was Biden. Into literal dust! It would be my priority, because I believe that he's an incredibly devious and corrupt person with many ties and allegiances to the coal and steel industries! 

I am embarrassed to be a white man sometimes, with the stuff that they get up to. Then you have white women, who despite so many being college educated just can't seem to get their act together. Roe v Wade should have been put to dust years ago. And still they vote for the GOP? Have you seen trump's rallies, how many of them turn out for him? 

Why are there so many stupid people here? What are the insecurities driving so many people to literally be such victims and so gullible? And why are they so weak? If you can't stand up for your own self interests, how can you be useful to anyone else?

You don't really get to decide what adjectives best describe attitudes, actions or beliefs because they are negative or evoke unpleasant emotions.  When modern republican politicians and legislators are engaging in the same behaviors that historical facists have employed, it is best if we state that unequivocally.  There should be no coy word play.

No...apparently you are just going to make all manner of attempt to insult me personally and then pretend that you are on some higher moral or ethical ground.  That's another reason that it's almost impossible to have a reasonable discussion with the typical Trump supporter today. You'd rather imply that I've called you names...you'd rather assume the posture of the victim of the mean name calling liberals...than to talk about the cult like GOP voting base.   Or why so many "conservative" Americans believe so many lies without question.

You are a very lost sad person. I did not insult you by calling you names to shut down your speech. I have not attacked your opinion at all. I do not think I'm superior in anyway. However you do. To a point where you almost sound exactly  like the people ypu are disparaging. And you can't even see it. 

The people that can see what's going on with Biden are taking advantage of him. I actually like him as a person. I do not care. He is suffering from cognitive decline and the people around him exploit him for the power of POTUS.

Maybe they are bad people. Their skin color doesn't matter. Or does it? Do other people skin color matter? Should they be Embarrassed too? For  something someone did who looked like them?  Really????

You aren't discussing the thoughts that I shared.  You are discussing your flawed opinion of me. Oh..and you've shared the propaganda that Biden is in the grips of some cognitive decline.  You must believe that's true even in spite of all of the direct evidence to the contrary.

I think Biden is better than he's ever been. He doesn't have that brown nosing attitude as before. He seems to be really drawing on his years of experience at last and actually doing some good. 

It's a pity we haven't got term limits of only one term allowed so he can focus on quickly achieving what needs to be done instead of being overly careful and thinking about a 2nd term. 

He has surrounded himself generally with a good cabinet and advisers except for  military intelligence, a complete misnomer IMO. Hopefully, he learns from the mistake.

A different opinion doesn't necessarily equate propaganda, but propaganda influenced thinking is not terribly difficult to discern.  The notion that president Biden is suffering from some obvious cognitive decline, for instance, is an example of propaganda.

No it doesn't.  However you said there is evidence that he is not in cognitive decline. What is it? I would rather he didn't.  Both my parents suffered from dementia and I have worked with many dementia patients and I can see some similarities. I am not an expert. So if you can tell me what the evidence is, that he is not suffering from early dementia, I would be happy to change my mind I do not want him or anyone to have that condition. Just don't go into a tirade of Trump this, GOP that etc.....

You should spend less time listening to the opinion of right wing commentators about the president's cognitive abilities and more time actually listening to the speech patterns of the president himself.  When one compares the current president's verbal capacity to the capacity of the previous presidents, Biden measures up pretty well.  The commemoration of 9/11 provided opportunity to compare those men and even Bush sounded eloquent and erudite.

There was recently a president who regularly published or spoke in word salad and seemed to have a childish comprehension of history.  That president was known for emotional outbursts and irritability when challenged.  His recent comments are laced with falsehoods, lies or delusions and ate divisive rather than unifying. Unfortunately, this twice impeached fellow is the leader of the modern conservative political movement in the USA.
