Yes I think you can do both at the same time but it may take you a lil longer than others to complete the preqs. Don't try to overload yourself. I only take 2 classes a semester. I am a Patient care tech I work part time 3 days and go to school partime(2 days). I attend evening and online classes. I make good grades gotten b's in all preqs. I also have a 3yr old so I juggle alot but I make it work. Doing a good job at work is equal important to doing good at school. This summer I will be taking my last preq which is math 110, so ready to get this class over and done, then I can apply to the ADN program in sept for the Jan class. Good luck!
They actually recommend it! In one college that I apply, nursing program require a 3-month full-time experience as a CNA. If you have a license or took the class it's not count!!!
So, I'm working as a CNA on weekends and taking Anatomy, General phsychology and communication this semester. YOu have to work hard to get into nursing! And yes, I have a 1-year old to take care, so I'm taking on-line where possible. But it works so far. I'm first in my psychology class and getting solid A in communication and anatomy
I worked full-time as a CNA while taking all my pre-reqs. I took a full course load every semester and had no problems earning a 4.0.
Definitely consider other aspects in your life, too - it's not just work and school you need to think about. Do you have a family? Do you value going out/time with friends?
Everyone's different. But it is possible to be a successful pre-nursing student (and nursing student!) while working full-time. Most of my coworkers are also somewhere on the path of pre-nursing or nursing coursework! :)
Yes you can do it. I'm a CNA and I have 4.0 so far. Any job you get can interfere with school if you let it. The good thing about being a CNA is that I get to work overnight shifts on the weekends so it doesn't clash with my classes. And there is enough down time on the night shift to get any school work done.

Is it possible to be successful in prenursing classes while working as a CNA? I'm planning on getting a CNA license before I start prenursing, but I want to do as well as I can.
