Are there any RN's here who became pregnant while in nursing school, and still made it through successfully? I am having a scare right now and just need some support. Thanks :crying2:

I have seen pregnant nursing students make it through. A bit rough on the body with intense studying, carrying books, running to clinicals, but I have seen many do it and are as successful as their peers. Good luck!

Two girl in the class that graduated before me were very pregnant- like 7-8 months at the end! One had horrible morning sickness and would throw up at clinical in the AMs but she never missed a day and she finished with honors.

I too graduated with a handful of pregnant grads and very new mommies. Our school was very supportive of the new mothers and allowed them to double up on clinical times early in the semester so they could miss the end of clinicals and stay home with baby.

I took my LPN boards on my due date. :) The only time I had problems was in cadaver lab in A&P. Otherwise, people were more than willing to help me lift, even when I told them I could do it. I was given different patients sometimes at times because of my pregnancy because of their diagnoses. That was about it!

I had my dd 3rd semester. I had her and was back to clinicals 4 days later. I had a very easy time, but I had a very uncomplicated pregnancy. Now if she had been like my last I may never have made it, due to the complications. We had 6 babies born during nursing school...everyone made it through!

We had several girls in our LPN and then in the RN program who were pregnant and made it through just fine.

2 girls in my RN program had babies and completed

One girl sent her son to college the week before she had the baby.

Thank you all for sharing your stories. Getting through NS is difficult enough, nevermind adding on complete responsibility for another human life. I am getting married in 2 months and I think the stress is just getting to me. My 11 days of being a nervous wreck came to an end today. Phew! :p

I had my second pregnancy during NS. Yes, it has been successfully accomplished by many, many women.

I hope you have a supportive parter (was invaluable for me).

Congratulations! :)
