Wow! That was fast!! Got my acceptance letter already!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today for MUSC's accelerated BSN program for Jan 07!! Holy cow!! They only take 50 a semester!!

Now what am I going to do?? I have to figure out daycare for my kids...yikes...now i'm stressing out!!

Ok thanks. phew! I've been waiting by the phone for that interview call. It was tortuous! I don't know when I'm supposed to hear either way. I think I'll know at the most by October 15th. I sent in my application Sept. 11, and all my references got in literally by the deadline. I have am taking my last class right now, Astronomy 102, at Trident. I've got a 3.9 GPA, did the best I could on my essay, but my GRE scores were blah, ooh well. If not Spring, I'll reapply.

Are you taking classes at Trident too? In SC? Which nursing program are you applying too?

I'm at Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC at the Main Campus this semester. Maybe we've been in classes together! I applied for the Accelerated BSN program at MUSC, not BSN-MSN. I will definitely get my MSN later.

Athena - well good luck to you too! I'm taking A&P-I now at Trident; just need to take A&P-II and Micro so I can apply to the accelerated BSN program at MUSC too. Hope you get that letter soon!

i just wanted to say congrats!!! you are very much inspiration to me. i am hopefully a future musc student and i go to ttc to get my prereqs. you have to keep updates and let us all know how everything goes and if it is all you have anticipated!

I applied for the acc BSN too, not the BSN-MSN. You have an interview for the acc BSN program? I wonder why I didn't?

What semester of MUSC did you apply for?

Forgot to say...yes I will definitely give updates! :)

No, I don't have an interview. I was just wondering if potentials must interview with them. I'll be waiting for my acceptance or denial letter. I applied for Spring 2007. It's funny...there are quite a few people applying to MUSC posting on this forum!

Thanks! Smattles is a definite inspiration. You'll be out of those classes in no time. Who do you have for A&P-I? I had Mr. Walker. For A&P-II and Micro I had Dr. Whitehurst. She's a great and caring professor but challenging.

Athena...good luck then! When you get in then we'll be starting the same time! Whoo hoo! When did you turn in all your stuff? I heard back after 2 weeks I think.

I checked out the list of books we need and I think I might try and buy them on amazon. So much cheaper. Now I just need to see if I can buy earlier editions...not sure.

I'm taking A&P1 with Mr. Jackson. Goodness. He's boring and really dumbs down the stuff. I had Micro with Dr. S (I can't remember how to spell his name...) but he was the best teacher ever.

Athena - I have Mr. Jackson for A&P I with smattles1of2 in the evenings. And after her suggestion I'm going to try to go for Dr. S... :)

How do you stay awake in his class? It's a struggle!

We have a lab quiz on wed over all the bones :( I'm confused about all the foramina or whatever the holes are called.

lol I had Mr. Jackson for A&P-2 lab. I know exactly what you mean! He's very organized but whoa.

I like how he lines up his dry erase markers on the table.
