Taking A&P I Fall 2009?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Anyone else taking A&P I this fall? I am taking it, along with four other classes. I'm really nervous because I have heard its extremely difficult! Hopefully those of us taking it this fall can help each other out when we have a question, so please reply here if you're one of the lucky ones haha!

I am taking the lab for a&p 1. I took A&P and it was not so bad. I did have to study really hard though to get that A. You should be fine. What other classes are you taking with A&P...?

I'll be taking A&P this fall!

I took separate A&P classes over 30 yrs ago (they were 4 units each), but because of the time lapse, have to redo them. The school I'm interested in requires a combined 4 unit A&P course.

I am taking A&P 1 this fall, too. Along with it I am taking college writing and business math. I didn't want to overload myself with harder classes since I will need to devote most of my time to the A&P.

Good luck to us!:yeah:

I'm taking A&P 1 this fall too. I'm really nervous. I've already taken it once and did horrible. So I'll be trying it again. I'm also taking nutrition online. Good Luck to everyone maybe we can help each other out.

I will probably be taking A&P I and II this fall. I've taken A&P in the past but the credits are too old for NS purposes so I have to repeat. I found A&P to be mostly about memorization. If you have those skills then it won't be too tough for you. Yes, you need to be able to use what you learn and apply theory to it, but I found it sort of comes on you later once you've mastered just knowing the material. But then again, I'm older now and they've learned more about the body than they knew when I took the course, so there's probably a lot more that I'm going to have to learn. I'm all for a support system to get through the coursework.

I'm taking General Biology, English I, General Psychology and Intro to Computers along with A&P I. I have actually taken the english, psych and computers classes before but its been a long time so I decided to repeat them. I think they'll be pretty simple...I know the computers one will because I'm great with computers. I'm taking computers and psych online. The reason I'm taking a biology as well as A&P is because one of the requirements to apply for NS is 2 sciences and a math. I already have 1 science and math, so I needed an additional science and they told me A&P can't count as that because its part of the NS curriculum (pre-reqs). And I had no choice but to take A&P I this fall because its only offerred in the fall. So my hands were tied if I want to even attempt to apply for the fall 2010 NS program. If I hadn't taken both bio's this fall, I definitely wouldn't have been able to apply for NS for 2010. I'm still not sure I'll get accepted, because I wont have all my pre-reqs done...but if I do well enough in my pre-reqs and I do well on the TEAS then I at least have a chance! :) My school is extremely competitive though, so I am not having too high of hopes for fall 2010 lol.

I am taking API for the second time. I got a B the first time but it is that competitive over here and I was ill for past two yrs I don't even remember AP that well.

I am taking AP along with Gen Chem II-premed track ( and the lab which counts as a separate course), The Holocaust, Amer. Minority Lit., a gen ed course.

AP I is as hard as you make it. There is a lot of info and you will have to read. If you cannot keep up with the info for AP it is usually (not as though) a sign that you will not be able to keep up with the immense amount of reading once clinicals commence. Just make sure that when you get your books and once classes start that if you AP package comes with any supplementary material that you use it. Usually the codes/CD that comes with the books have quizzes, tests, and all sorts of other goodies that can only help US the students. An A is possible in AP...hard yes.....but doable. My whole thinking is if the professor gives out one A I will the one getting the A.

I decided not even to work this semester beyond work study. My course load is gonna leave me busy and my GPA is my main goal right now.

I am applying for in the spring for Fall 2010 as well. I don't have to take the TEAS but I have to take the HESIA2.

I am sure you will succeed though and you will be posting good news in the spring.

GOOD LUCK :D

I am taking Anatomy and Physiology with lab this Fall also. I am not taking any other classes with it though because of my work schedule. I am also studying for the TEAS test which I will be taking to apply to another nursing program on August 21st (wish me luck!!!)

Taking A&P I with lab this Fall. Also taking General Psych and Nutrition this fall too. Next semester will be the REAL bruiser though - A&P II with Lab, Microbiology with Lab and Developmental Psych. :uhoh3: On top of the fact that I will be applying around that time for NS for Fall 2010 and taking entrance exams. :uhoh21: It hurts just thinking about it. Good luck everybody!!!

I'm taking A&P I and the lab this semester, along with general psych, and then biochem and it's lab. I'm pretty nervous too. I have a pretty tough instructor, but I'm also pretty excited. Next semester I'm no too much busier though with A&P II and it's lab, Sociology, and then Mico and it's lab. We'll see. I'm just glad my school doesn't make me apply to the pre-nursing and then the nursing program too so that's at least some stress off my back.
