Hello everyone, first time poster. I was just wondering what all you are taking in Spring 2007. This will be my last semester of pre reqs, and I hopefully will be in the nursing program come next school year.

I'm taking:

Honors Art Appreciation

Specializes in Med/Surg.

Hi everyone! I just thought I would post a question. I am new to this so hopefullly I will do it right. I am in my last semester of pre-reqs for an accelerated nursing program. Already have one BS and start BSN program in Aug '07. I noticed in a post someone had mentioned the NET prep book.??? Maybe a silly question, but what is this? Classes for winter and spring quarters are: Organic Chemistry, Into to Ethics, Microbiology, & Developmental Psychology. Smiles!

I have no idea about the NET we don't test at my school for entrance.

Welcome to all nurses though and sounds like you are going to have a very fun if not full semester! good luck!

Im taking A&PI, Psychology, English, and Developmental math and im so excited.

I am taking AP 2 and Microbiology (both with labs). My application for Fall 2007 is already in. Lets hope that I get in!!! Its so hard to wait. I know next semester is going to be wicked hard but I know it can be done. I am a mother to three young children so it can difficult sometimes but I am really excited about the courses :). I am most excited that after this semester, no more math classes!!

I have 3 small kids and taking the same courses as you we can whine about the gads of work we have together. I said no more math too then I took Chemistry LOL .

just curious can't help your liberal use of the work Wicked are you from NewEngland (its always my tell tale sign for a NewEnglander hehehe)

Taking Biology 111, Socio 101, English 101 and Intro to Computer Graphics. Just recently decided that nursing was a career that I might actually want to do. My wife is an RN and I remember helping her with NS and always feeling proud of her for working so hard. I really respect and admire all of you that made it through and also the ones that are pursuing this fine career.

I went from wanting to be a police officer to an RN. I just wanted to help people and I feel that I will get more of an opportunity in the medical field than in the LE field. Sitting in a patrol car doing paperwork 80% of the day did not sound like much fun. ;)

Awesome. We can complain together. lol. I took Chemistry already, yeah, love the moles. ;). These will be my last prereqs before hopefully getting into the BSN program! I saved the best till last ;).

I spent about 7 years of my childhood in New Hampsha! When I was about 8 we moved to the Midwest. Its funny I say things sometimes and people look at me strange. Either, wicked or easy peasy...don't hear those much in the Midwest. I am in FL right now but moving back to the Midwest this summer. What part of New England are you from?

What ages are your kids? How far are you in your coursework?

Hi Ms juju,

I answered a post of yours on the math board, that thread doesn't get much traffic, so I will say welcome here!

You sound a lot like me I am 38 and have been in your shoes, I have been hacking away at this since 2004 don't get discouraged and don't give up just keep at it!!! you will be so happy, I keep saying even if I never get into nursing school these courses have helped my self esteem soooo much! Someone who was a self proffessed math idiot I feel so confident in math and even find I really love it! I am planning to take more during my wait into nursing just because it gives me such a high to do something I had thought I never could.

now is that sick or what? taking more math for fun? boy if someone had told me that 10 years ago I would have died laughing.

LOL!!

I have a feeling with your enthusiasm and hard work, you will have your choice of nursing schools. I'm literally counting down the days until school starts. This is unbelievable to me. I, too, never thought I'd be this excited to learn math. I'm even having algebra-related dreams these days.

I'm also going into my return to school with the attitude of tackling a couple classes at a time (as I must work full time for as long as I possibly can before nursing school) and doing the very best I can at them. I'm starting to feel like the Little Engine that Could, what with my constant "I think I can I think I can I KNOW I can I KNOW I can" mantra. ;)

hahahaha see the "wicked" gives it away everytime. I am originially from NH but I live southern California and many other states inbetween but I can't seem to drop the "wicked".

I am also taking my final two pre reqs so looking forward to the real hard semester. I have 3 kids 7,7 yr old twin boys and my daughter is 9
