Who else is taking Nutrition this semester?

I'll see the TCA cycle, or Chemistry? I am sure the chemistry is very intense in Microbiology, which is the reason I am a little worried about it. We wont have any lab experiments, just looking at slides and answereing questions, but I know it is going to be harder than A&P. At least I will be taking it by itself. The other good thing is, I dont have to make an A in it. I will of course try for an A, but a B will be good enough. :)

Thats good!!! You will see it again in Micro and be ahead for having been exposed to it now. :)
Specializes in ED, ICU, MS/MT, PCU, CM, House Sup, Frontline mgr.

I was talking about the TCA cycle. Microbes can use anaerobic and aerobic respiration.

I did not think the Chem was that bad. I did not have trouble performing stains, using various mediums, growing microbes, using a microscope, writing up labs, interpreting reactions, or doing anything else lab related. Your class sounds like the Professor will do this for you so in a way it should be a lot easier then my course! :D

The calculations in Micro I did not find too difficult. As I recall there is a formula for everything.

Oh, boy!!! Here we go again. At least I understand it. Is it as thorough as the human TCA? I guess this could carry over into nursing classes, hu?

There is a difference in the number of ATPs produced, but the process is the same. I hear EVERYTHING carries over into the nursing program. People who tell you different do not take into account the fact that the knowledge gained prior to nursing school clinical courses is knowledges to be applied in nursing courses rather then relearned. :nuke:

Yes, I expect that for most things, but some things I would like to leave behind. Oh, well....

I currently signed up for Nutrition and BIO has to be taken as a pre-req for it.

Finals anyone? Since my class started late and it is a regular semester course, I will not be taking mine for another month. How are your classes going? How are or did your final projects and exams go?? :Santa1: I'm doing well in my course and plan to compete my project in a week. I will start studying for my Final this week to get a head start.

My finals are next Tuesday in Nutrition. I still have a little over a week to study, so I should be good and ready.

Good luck everyone.

I just completed Essentials of Nutrition this semster and I take the final Tuesday. I have a strong A at this time, so be sure to wish me luck!

Good luck. I have my final Tuesday too. I have been studying my butt off. May we will keep those A's. Nutrtion isnt the simple course I was expecting, but it has been interesting and I have learned a lot.
