Lamar Beaumont prerequisites

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hey! I plan on applying to Lamar Beaumont, and I was wondering if anyone is currently attending there. If anyone can tell me about their nursing prerequisites grades if they got accepted, I would be very grateful. I am currently attending University of Houston, but I live in the Beaumont area.

Hi and welcome to AllNurses.com! I don't live in that area, but wanted to give a suggestion of calling the nursing school. Maybe they would give out that information?

Good luck. :)

Not in the area either, but best wishes to you. :)

I am currently attending Lamar Beaumont and I am in the ADN program. My grades in A&P were A's and a B in micro. The ADN program is crammed and hard. I am in the 1st semester and I am having trouble passing patho. Some students have problems with health assessment. If you can pass nursing patho, you will not have a problem. You can go to the website www.lamar.edu or call the nursing department to find out about your prerequisites. I would not recommend the ADN program in Beaumont to anyone. The information is crammed and it can be difficult for some people, especially those who are working or have a family. They accepted 40 students for the adn program and about half is failing. If you don't have children or bills and you don't procrastinate, you will do just fine. Hope this helps.
