I would like to know if this book is good and easy to read. I am looking for it plus the lab manual from the same author. Any ideas where I can buy them.
Thanks.

We used it for A&P2 but mostly studied the powerpoints the prof. provided more than the book. I guess it was ok. Check out Amazon.com.

We use it for A&P1, 2 and 3. I finished 1 this fall and 2 will start on Monday. I think the book is clear in it's explanations, and I love the web resources. If you buy it used, be sure to purchase a web account for the resources, it's well worth it.
As far as locations, I've had good text book experiences at half.com.
Peace,

I've borrowed it from the public library and I like it a lot but I use the Martini book.

Our school used it for both 1 & 2 along with the lab book too. Try ebay, they often have good prices, study guides and practice tests as well.

We used the Martini book and if something wasn't clear I looked it up in Marieb or Tortora which we both had available in our study lab. Marieb and Tortora had better illustrations and clearer tables. Our teachers didn't like the Martini book, particularly for the Immune system.

Hello there,
I am using the 8th edition of this book for A and P I. So far, I love it. Very easy to read and understand. If all else fails try alibris.com

I teach A & P from this book & truly like it. I do have an extra lab manual (fetal pig version) 8th edition. If you'd be interested in buying it, please PM me and we can work something out.
Take care,

I used this book for both A&P I and A&P II. I think it is great, but my professor used excellent Powerpoint presentations that we used to study for exams. I really only used the text to clarify one or two things and to look at a few illustrations. The one thing that I did use A LOT was the CD that came with the book. It really helped me to get through the most difficult concepts, particularly those involving the endocrine system. I really can't stress that enough. I made an A in both of my A&P classes, and I think that part of the reason my grades were good is because I would watch the CD several times and actually take notes from it as well. It helped me to visualize things like calcium and potassium channels, etc.
Our "not so good Martini book" had tutorial CD's as well. I liked them and it helped alot with certain concepts. It's never a bad idea to incorporate other resources besides the required course material. Our teacher always recommended to browse the internet and recommended "ask.com" The internet is FULL of anatomy related links.
Thank you for all your replies. If anybody is selling the book and the manual, please let me know.
Right now, I'm only selling the manual - Private message me if you're interested.
