I would like to know if this book is good and easy to read. I am looking for it plus the lab manual from the same author. Any ideas where I can buy them.

Thanks.

For physiology we used the Marieb book. I don't remember what it was called. It was the most recent edition and it had a co-author (My physio teacher said that Marieb is probably getting ready to retire soon since she now has a co-author for the newest edition). The CD that comes with it is wonderful!

Our school used the Marieb books, but I heard some other the others were better. I did use the website for several things though, especially if your prof tests directly from the book using a test bank.

This is the textbook I used in 1993 (an older version, obviously!). I liked it. Last year, as I was taking it again so my science credit would be current, our college had switched to one by Seeley and the explanations were much more difficult. The professors hated it and have since switched back to Marieb.

I have this book (hardcover) but it comes with a Lab (softcover) which is used for homework assignments. Much ado about everything! I pulled an A in this course but it's definitely a brain catcher! You'll find that A&P ll, which is actually the second half of the book, makes a lot more sense after dredging through A&P l. Study and study and study is all I can recommend.:uhoh3: I bought it through EDMAP.com. Hope this helps. Donna

I did! 1000 pages +. A&P ll is the second half of the book which comes with a softcover Lab. That one is used for homework assignments.EdMap.com is the place I purchased mine at aproximately $ 285 total for both. Excellent books, many photos: both animated pics and photographics. Mucho info! so hold on... I pulled an A, so if you need help cry, holler, and yell. [email protected]

I used Marieb for A&P I and II. I really liked the book and thought that it was very clear and easy to understand. I think that the "homeostatic imbalance" sections really help with understanding the concepts. It's important for me to understand this stuff and not just memorize it temporarily for a good grade. Now College Algebra on the other hand.....

Good luck,

We're using a really old version of Marieb. It's got a purple cover.

Oh I hear you about College Algebra. I struggled to get a B 12 years ago....I need a serious refresher in math now that I am starting to prepare for entrance exams and an upcoming Statistics class which I plan to take in the FAll if I am not accepted to nursing school ;)
