Class of '09

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Finally, after two long years of pre-reqs I will be starting the nursing program in August!!

I was supposed to get in last year, but for some reason I got wait-listed an extra year. Oh well, I was able to get six BSN courses out of the way in the intrem.

I will turn 40 in 2009 and I am still looking forward to it!

Congratulations! Being able to get those BSN classes out of the way is definitely and indication of your wait-listing being a blessing in disguise. I sometimes secretly hope I don't get in for fall so that I can accomplish the same thing. Something tells me if I get in right away, get working right after grad, that I may like the working and making money thing too much (considering monetary absence the last few years of my life) and I fear I will never go back to school to get my BSN. So honestly, my congratulations is not just for your acceptance, it is more for what you accomplished while you waited for this sweet moment. Best Wishes!

:yeah: :balloons: :yelclap: congratulations!!!!!:smiley_aa :biere:

Congrats!Congrats!Congrats! I start the program this august, and I was also on the waitlist--way too long (1 1/2 yrs) but looking on the bright side I knocked out several BSN pre-reqs also!

And your 40th b-day gift to your self is becoming a nurse, so again Congrats!

Good Job! Congrats. Love the name:lol2:

Getting those classes out of the way was a huge blessing for you. I just completed my 3rd semester of my ADN program and had to take med micro with it. Ugh. Talk about wishing I could turn back time.... In retrospect I would have completed this before school started. It was hell. :angryfire

My one piece of advice for those applying....get those pre-req's out of the way. You definately don't want those looming over your head and getting in the way of your nursing classes.

That is exactly how I am looking at the whole situation now. Although, I didn't quite see it that way at first...

Woo hoo! Congratulations! I also start in August and it's taken me a year and a half to get in once my prereqs were finished.

I also took some other helpful classes: medical terminology, pharmacology....

Way to go, Gaylord!!! Congrats on your acceptance. I will also start in August, and spent this last semester getting 4 pre reqs out of the way to continue on with a MSN. I was registered for 4 classes this summer, but decided to take a break! Good luck in NS and enjoy the best birthday present that a 40 year old could receive!!! :balloons: I too will turn 40 not long after graduation, but shh!! I will have reached the 39 and holding age, so I won't be celebrating my 40th then!!!

Congratulations. I am waiting for my letter to get in. I have a 3.9, so I hope I get in.
