I don't see why not. Congratulations in obtaining your certification :)

CNA experience will help you greatly. Go for it. Also, I don't know where you reside, but in my state phlebotomists can receive on the job training. I got the training at a local hospital and it gave me great experience in healthcare. Just a thought.

In my state at least everybody is looking for CNAs. Saddly a lot of them wont take aides without experience, but if you keep trying you'll find someplace. Just apply everywhere. Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, Home Health Agencies and someone will have to take you on. :) It's an amazing experience and hopefully it will give you a good idea of what being a nurse is like.

Good luck!

A CNA job will teach you sterile field, patient contact, and how to interact with staff. It's very valuable experience. Get state certified and go for it!

I was thinking of the same thing after I finish my CNA certificate program. There are a lot of places wanting CNA's. Try hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, those are just a few if you look in your states newspaper under health professions there are always a lot of places wanting CNA's and the pay is from anywhere between $15-$18 per hour. It may differ state to state but it's a great way to get experience and get paid while doing it and doing something you will grow to love throughout your entire nursing experience. GOOD LUCK 2 YOU!!!! :) :yelclap:
