nclex crisis :uhoh21:

hi to everyone,

i just took my nclex-rn yesterday. it stopped at 75 questions. is there anybody out there from california who knows how to get in a site where you can access the results right away. i am an lvn for 8 years and graduated last april. i am feeling very disappointed, frustrated, sad, anxious(you name it) felt that i did not pass the exam.

Specializes in Med/Surg; Psych; Tele.

hi cndynf,

well, i don't live in cali, but i just wanted to offer my support to you. i have only been an rn for a little more than a year and i still remember that aweful feeling like it was yesterday - cried leaving the testing center, the whole bit. like you, mine also stopped at 75 questions and i was pretty sure i'd failed it. turns out i did not of course. i know you have probably heard this a thousand times already, but i really don't think anyone feels good after they take that test. since your probably studied all summer and you also have so much clinical experience as an lvn, i'll just bet you passed with flying colors. hey, you made it through rn school!

chin up and stop worrying! let us know when you find out!

hello, can't help you answer questions about the exam but i want to welcome aboard to the family of allnurses! best wishes to you and enjoy :)

Sorry, but California does not participate in quick results. You may be one of the lucky ones and see your name on their website in aobut five days, the absolute quickest, or you may have to wait about three weeks or so. There is no specific time frame given for having to post within x-number of hours.

i lived in ca and took my lvn boards there. i am not sure but i think the rn's do the quick results. go to the pearson-vue website and check. also check the bon website and see if they can tell you. if ca doesn't do quick results well, that doesn't surprise me. budget cuts, you know. i'm so sick of hearing about budget cuts.

Hello everyone.

THANK YOU JESUS!!!! I thought I failed my exam because I left the place really feeling that I didn't answer the questions correctly. I was looking forward to sitting down and taking the exam for for 6 hours with 265 questions. I ended up sitting and testing in front of the computer for 2 1/2 hours and the questions stopped at 75 questions. I thought the computer gave up on me for not answering the questions correctly. I keep checking the state board of nursing website---- and this morning I checked and I saw that I PPPPPPPPAAAAAASSSSSSEEEEEEDDDDDD!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for the prayers and of course I also did my best--- Take Care Cindy

I think we need to start a thread on how to relax after taking the nclex. For example:

Go to the movies. Catch up on your sleep. Take a Tai Chi or Yoga lesson. Go ballroom dancing. Rock-climbing. Learn to crochet. Go the farmer's market and freeze dry all your favourite vegetables. Make jam. Go hiking for three days. Or go into a vegetative state in front of the TV. Anything but freak out.

Anyway, congratulations.

CONGRADULATIONS!!!!! I'm happy you didn't have to end up waiting.

Thanks!!

This NCLEX really means a lot when your working as an LVN for many years in a hospital and having new grad RNs (at times with attitudes) whom you work under. It FEELS GOOD finally!!! I'm just glad it's over-- for now-- next stop BSN/MSN. Thank you and GOOD LUCK to you!!! :biggringi :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :biggringi

There are no quick results in CA, for RN or LVN.
