Post-masters psychiatric NP program at Stonybrook, Summer 2016

Hi all. I am interviewing for the post masters certificate to psych NP at Stonybrook on Jan 27th. Trying to find others in the same track as mine. Any info on the program, interview, acceptance, difficulty of the courses for a full time working nurse, fees etc will be much appreciated!

We are hoping that decision emails are sent out as soon as possible, I have not been given a time frame as to when it will happen. Please continue to monitor your email. Response from them today. Hopefully soon! Can't wait!

Thanks....I have been monitoring my email constantly! I have been wanting to email them, but I am sure she gets tired of us all asking the same question! Lol...if I don 't hear anything in about a week, I'll email!

Nothing yet! Seems like they have started to send out emails for fnp applicants. So I am hoping this week.

Woah! This is taking forever. I dont want to apply to any other programs at this point as Stony Brook meets my need best. Now i am starting to question my thoughts. I just feel i should have applied to Upstate medical or something.

I agree, I was looking last week at Binghamton....missed that deadline by a few days for a fall start. I am looking at other programs too and am wishing I had applied to others...but Stony Brook works well for me too. I don't want to have to re-apply to Stony Brook either! I already blocked off time from work for the April orientation, but don't want to be stuck taking the time if I don't need too....can you tell I have been monitoriing my email excessively? LOL

I was there for the APNA NYS education conference last year. It was great, and the location is awesome as well. Have you been to the conference?

I have not been to the conference! Is the next one in Hartford Ct?

I am thinking we won't be hearing anything today....hopeful, but doubtful!
