On a personal note I love Halloween.
On a professional level November 1-4 are the worst days ever!!!!
Who is with me?
Today has been a BEAR. Lots of silly complaints because they all have post Halloween depression.
One kid told me he couldn't breathe and then proceeded to admit that he "just doesn't want to be here" today. That makes 2 of us, pal.
A kindergartner got poop EVERYWHERE in my bathroom. I have no idea how. The walls, the floor, under the toilet seat, all over his hands and on his clothing.
A student was mad that I was refusing to call home. He insisted he had a fever (temp 98.8) and strep (throat WNL) and threw my reusable ice pack in the (empty) garbage when I told him it was time to go back to class. When I asked him to please take the ice pack out and hand it to me, he said "I don't want to put my hand in a garbage can!" to which I replied "Well, neither do I."
Our new principal and secretary are proving to be more burden than asset.
And my lunch is totally lame.
It's nothing big. Lots of little things that are making me one very grouchy tomato. HOWEVER I have Thursday-Friday off and school is closed Monday and Tuesday. Helllooooooo 6 days off!!!
Did the child bite their own tongue... or did someone else bite it?
My first year, I had a student bite another student's tongue. That was a weird conversation... Apparently one kid thought it would be funny to lick another kid and the kid being licked did not find it funny and thus bit the offender's tongue! Kid's tongue was bruised!

Lots of playground injuries today, but no trick or treat related illness! Now it's after lunch and they won't get away with "I ate too much candy last night"
