My receptionist and I are taking bets as to what time the first stomachache or general "I don't feel good" is going to roll into the clinic. I think I have less than an hour...

Just got my first "I don't feel good" at 8:37. We start school at 8:15. Oh the fun this day is going be.

6 kids in clinic this morning before the first bell even rang......

We're 20 minutes into the day, and so far all I've gotten is one who rolled her ankle while trick-or-treating, and the parents didn't treat. I gave her an ice pack and sent her back to class.

I've seen 30 students (and two vomiters) and it isn't even 11...

Because ice only works within the walls of school. Reminds me of Pink Floyd's The Wall (I'm dating myself).

I think today has been my busiest day so far this year. All "not feeling wells" except an ice pack for a "fell down trick or treating" injury. Surprisingly, they have been the older kids, not the young ones.....

I am amazed at the absences, about 10% out today and over 5% late because of trick or treating. It was never an option to be late when I was little because I stayed up too late.:banghead:

I went to Catholic school growing up. November 1 is Holy day and we always had it off. It was amazing.

I am sooooo lucky not to be at my elementary school today!!! :roflmao: Haven't had any tummy aches at the middle school yet today. Fingers crossed!

LOTS of "tummy aches" and "I'm tired and don't feel good" this morning already. Plus throw in a few "my teacher said you have to wash off my eye make up/ face pant from last night". It's going to be a loooong day!

Lots of playground injuries today, but no trick or treat related illness! Now it's after lunch and they won't get away with "I ate too much candy last night"
