PNA fee??

Published

:saint:hi, any kind soul who knows how much PNA membership will cost, and how long will it take for them to release the id?

thanks a bunch to all who'll reply :yeah:

PNA membership fee for this year's now 400php, and you'll be able to have your ID right away, i renewed mine for the 2nd time around already just last February so that if and ever i'll be needing it all of a sudden, it wouldn't be any problem at all. last year was pink and now it's a neon orange one.haha.

after renewing it for the 3rd time, you can already apply for it's lifetime membership, according to my instructors whom i have been able to talk to just a few weeks ago, it costs 25k according to our dean, they're just not sure though if it has already increased because it has always been just like that lately. hope this helps.

PNA made a new policy about the lifetime membership. 3 consecutive membership renewal is not anymore the criterion for Lifetime Membership. I went in PNA last January. There were some who complained that why they can't be a lifetime member considering that they renewed their membership 3 times. The PNA staff told them that there is a new resolution or policy about the lifetime membership. It states there the new criteria for that lifetime membership. You just ask PNA for further details.

lifetime membership fee at PNA according to local chapter cost around 2500 pesos not 25k!

What can we get from being a member of PNA? We just keep on paying for membership fees and then what???? They don't even host training or seminars that can benefit us, nurses. Maybe they do, but again very rarely... Once, I tried to inquire on the benefits of the members, the receptionist just told me it's just for a 'name'... After that, I didn't even bother paying for the annual membership fee.

So, for PNA Staff, please do update the nurses on your proposed plan of action and the benefits that we can get.

Many thanks!

my reason for being a member in PNA is that, most employers here and abroad wants their nurses to be one prior to employment.:D

really? 400? I guess you can only use that card to get discounts from their expensive seminars ^_^

Exactly! and it's really quite unfair! We're just paying for the name and no compensations whatsoever.

i'm having ambivalent feelings on whether i should really get a PNA card "cartolina" this year. could someone please share on where the funds are going? the fees are quite high and so many nurses are getting it but then no accounting or auditing is presented to the public. our local PNA here couldn't even present an accounting to us. it's really quite dismal. shees!

bubbles, that question got me thinking. I have been renewing my PNA for 3 consecutive years already (it's a requirement in our hospital).

The PNA website is not good, there's nothing you can do on their website. Just like the PNA, they're doing nothing. Their officers gets a chance to be involved in som international conferences and seminars, after some time, those officers migrate to other countried bearing with them the good seminars and background that they have. tsk3

Also, I got a pink cartolina last year also. What kind of ID is that? :( I didn't even bother to write anything on it.

very true! unfortunately, local PNA offices when asked where the membership goes all they can ever say over and over again is that they are endorsing it to the main office. And when asked about the nurse's benefits? They just keep mum about it.

They should have 'something' for the nurses who are paying for the membership each year.

i've also read about a PNA scholarship for those entering nursing, it's somewhere here posted. is that scholarship part of our fee? i do hope it is because it could be the only visible productive activity from our YEARLY fees.
