Published

I have to take my NCLEX next week and I am freaking out. I have not studied a whole lot but everyone keeps saying it is easy. Does anyone have any advice? Please help.:redbeathe:bluecry1:

Well, I don't know why anyone would tell you that it's easy. Go in to the test knowing that you have prepared and studied. Just try to relax and focus on answering each question. Good luck!

Hi and welcome

Practice questions and make sure you understand the rationale to the ones you get wrong. The day before your test take as time for 'me' and relax giving your brain chance to settle down

Good luck

I took the NCLEX-PN on Wednesday and found out I passed with 85 questions this morning. I don't know who told you it was easy, but it was NOT at all easy. I thought the test was very hard. Until I got my results, I was certain I had flunked it.

To prepare, go over every single NCLEX question and rational you can get your hands on. Make sure you understand the rational and why one answer is better than another. Read the question and all your answer choices thoroughly prior to making your choice. Don't forget to breathe.

Good luck.

goodluck..it depends on the person taking the exam..some says its easy, some says its hard..hehehe!!! but for me,it was kinda easy..All you need is common sense and trust with God....

Easy is dependant on who's taking the test and what they feel is easy. I had 85 questions (NCLEX-PN) and never really thought any of our tests in school were that difficult, didn't find our exit exam difficult and i didn't find the HESI particurally difficult..but I found the NCLEX difficult. I felt like the questions were taken from left field. Things asked I know were never lectured on, and I didn't find them in our book either.

I graduated with honors, was in the top 5 in my class, and I walked out of that testing facility, shaking, shellshocked and thinking what the &(^$% was that?? I was more certain than not that I failed..honestly did not believe I had a chance in Hates of passing. All I could remember were the questions I knew I got wrong. It was a long 48 hrs but I found out today i passed!

Advice..my manta is hope for the best, expect the worst. Don't be surprised while taking the test you find yourself freaking out because you feel you don't know any of the answers..don't let that sabbatoge you. Think positive..you DO know it, you graduated nursing school right :)

Do as many practice questions as you can. And don't only read the rationals, understand them..if you don't understand why it was the right answer, pull out your books and find out why.

Once the test is done, its done, don't fret, there is nothing you can do after that to change anything. Try not to freak out, because in reality you have a better chance at passing the NCLEX than failing it. (85% of all 1st time test takers pass..pretty good odds)

I wish you the best..please keep us posted

I have people tell me it is easy too! I take my test on the 31st and I'm trying to study as much as i can without overload!

When I took the practice nclex-pn at school i was 100% positive that I failed, however...I did better than average!

I'm maintaining a positive attitude and going to keep reviewing!

Good Luck
