PMHNP UT Tyler

Hi,just got admitted to UT Tyler for PMNHP and apparently we have to take 3 classes every semester as a FT student.I don’t know if there is someone that is currently doing a Masters (FNP) program over there cos I will love to know how many DBs and Papers are requested weekly before committing myself to the FT route.

@omotee Hi I'm applying to UT Tyler PMHNP program and having a hard time finding current students. Did you end up going here? If so how is the program going? Would you recommend it?

Yes I did,am in my second semester.

@omotee If you don't mind me asking, how are the classes? Is it more test based or papers?

Advanced patho is 4 exams with 1 power point presentation. The others are combination of tests and papers

I'm looking into this program as well, but thinking about working as a psych nurse for experience before applying.   I would be curious to hear how you like it, as I continue researching a few programs.  Thanks!

Hi! Did you end up applying to UT Tyler PMHNP? I applied for Fall 2021, anxiously awaiting admission decision!

Yes, am currently there.

That's great! Do you like the program? What were your application stats?

It is very stressful but doable. You have to do admission essay and video application
