I want to ask all of you out there to please pray for my friends 4 year old granddughter. She was involved in a serios car crash yesterday and is in very critical condition. She has a broken femur, her back was broken in two places, and her skull and spinal cord were separated (internal decapitation). She has been given about a 1 % chance of survival. She had a shunt placed and a halo placed to try to prevent further damage, and if by God's grace shesurvives she will be a quadraplegic with severe brain damage for life. Her mother was transferred from neuro ICU today to a regular room, but is still heavily sedated and not fully aware of her baby's grim condition. Her identical twin sister only suffered some minor cuts and bruises. Details are still sketchy, but we know they were not buckled up and the mother was possibly under the influence. It is such a tragic situation, and i dont know what more to do than to pray and ask others to do so as well.

The update as i know it is this. She was declared brain dead this morning and the family is preparing to withdraw life support as soon as the whole family can be there to say their good byes. It is so difficult for me to even think about. These girls are precious, and i am so sad for them all, but i know that she s in a better place, free from the pain and sadness that would surround her. God has welcomed a new angel, and she will forever be missed. Thank you all for your prayers, and I ask that you keep this family in your thoughts as they face this difficult time.

i prayed just now before you last post and I feel like God has already answered my prayers and well as everybody elses for this little girl and family. this is Gods plan and its in his hands.

I am so happy that the little baby doll is in heaven and out of pain. I'm so sorry for your loss and that of your beloved friends. They will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless them all.

I will continue to pray for the mother, sister and family. It is such a tragic loss but I have peace knowing that God is in control. She is free from pain. Is she possibly going to be an organ donor and be able to provide another little one a chance at a better life?

Love hugs and prayers

I am not sure about the organ donor status. The grandmother is a nurse as well, and i am sure that may be a thought they have, but i have not heard. I am hoping that they will consider that as a possibility. Once again thank you all for your thoughts and kind words.

it is 3 o'clock in the morning and i can't get this poor family out of my head...i just pray that this mother will be able to live with the guilt of her child dying because she was under the influence and not having her children buckled up..when i was growing up we never wore seatbelts and bounced around the car like it was a play room...and how many times have you gotten in a car and drove with a glass of wine or two...the sad thing is that his could have happened to any of us....it sounds like besides buring her precious little girl, she will now have to deal with the legal system..may God be her family

God help the little girl, and her twin especially and all the family.

The kids were never made to be in car seats. When we tried to buckle them, they would unbuckle and climb out. She never madetham get back in. And a few glases of wine would have been different, but she was more hardcore. She is addicted to oxy's and methaone, and always had high doses. I dont know for a fact that she was impaired, but knowing her and her past, i would be shocked if she werent. I just feel so badly for them all, the grandmother just found out last night..she had been out of town and noone could reach her. My heart aches for the other twin, as well as their two year old sister, and wht will happen to them. he granndmother is not stable enough to care for them, and this will push her over the edge. I fear these poor babies will end up in the system...i just cant stand it.
