I've been a runner for years and never had an injury. I've developed PF actually noticed it after 3 13 hour shifts in a row with no break working LTC and it hasn't gotten better since. It may be a tear and not PF, but at the moment my insurance won't cover an MRI. I am not asking for medical advice (or advice at all), because I've gotten way too much of it from my running friends and nurse friends. Most of it hasn't worked. My question has arose when I have had so many nurse coworkers respond with "Oh I have that too" or "Oh I had that too". So I am curious how many have had plantar fasciitis? I'm not even going to dive into the back injuries or other work related injuries.

Had it once really bad when I gained weight rapidly. Lasted a couple months, custom insoles from a podiatrist helped. Now that my weight is down , not a problem anymore

I experienced it for the first time when I was working 12 hour shifts in the OR and running on my days off. I got custom inserts made and switched shoes. I also left my job for a desk job (not for that reason specifically, but it sure does help), and I can just now tell that my feet are healing - I left in September.

I suffered with it for weeks. Went to a podiatrist with little relief then went to a chiropractor and within two treatments I was fine. I wear really supportive shoes (asics) and I haven't had trouble since then...

I've had it once several years ago I didn't realize what was wrong for months it just felt like I was walking on a pebble or it was bruised. It is easily treated. I got a steroid shot and they gave me a foot/leg brace to wear at night to stretch the tendon. Can probably buy it over the counter if you look at medical supply stores. Haven't had any problems since; it usually starts in your 40's and I think the left foot first, but don't worry if it's plantar fasciitis it's easily treatable.
