Hey everyone!
I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Thanks!
Does anyone know the passing threshold for grades for the generic program? I know some schools are as high as 82%.
You can review NCLEX pass rates by year or quarter here Florida Board of Nursing » Education and Training Programs - Licensing, Renewals & Information.
Those who sat for the NCLEX in spring 2015 has a pass rate of 83%. If you look through the previous years, some are higher.
From the people I've talked to, it's the same as for other classes, where it's a 70% © for passing. However, two classes in the last semester are simply pass/fail so there's no grade percentage given.
Even though passing is a C, it's important to know that if anyone plans to go to the bachelor's program once it's regionally accredited, its GPA requirement is 3.0 which wouldn't allow for many C's.

Are you talking about PHCs Bach Program? And if so where do you find this information? Glad you brought this up :-)
Part of me is hoping they met this week and the end of July statement on the letter was placed there are a worst case scenario date. Last Fall they started getting their letters around July 4 I believe and the deadline last year was May 30. So if we add roughly 35 days from June 15 we get July 20, so that's when I'm hoping for, not like July 31st or anything.
