I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Question of the day: When we all receive our acceptance letters, who will you tell first? Will you do anything to celebrate?
I'll be telling my husband/kids, then you guys. Haha. And maybe we will go out to dinner and I will drink all the drinks and finally relax!
Hmmm probably hubby and then my mom, she's a nurse and has been begging me to go to nursing school my whole life lol. Then social media, which includes you guys! If it's a denial, I'll probably post a pic of my letter with like 100000000 sad face emojis lol
Still haven't received a confirmation letter either, though I did wait til the last minute to turn in my applications, so figured I'd wait til next week to call. As for who I will tell first if I get accepted, that will be my husband & kids. I'll call certain family members/friends to give them the good news personally and then just post something to FB for everyone else. Have to admit that I'm definitely not good at waiting patiently for a response though!!
If I get a 'yes', I will be hooting and hollerin! Forgive the spelling:woot:, but I am a Kentucky girl. I will tell my husband first and then my Mom. My Mother is a retired nurse and is one of, if not, my biggest supporter. I am leaving for vacation on the 21st so probably won't be here for the letter. This will be a long vacation. I am still holding out that maybe we will know before then. However, I am still looking forward to a short vacation with one of my daughters and my two year old grandson. I am still holding out that we won't have to wait that long! As for celebrating, probably lots of good wine and a headache in the morning!
I received the confirmation from West Campus and Porter Campus about a week after I submitted my application. My composite score is a 84. So I am keeping my fingers crossed!!! I have a 3.9 and a 72 on the TEAS. Oh, by the way my name is Asia :)
Hope everyone has had a great weekend! We're leaving in the morning for our 2 week vacation. Equal parts relieved to have a distraction and anxious about not being here when/if the letters come in that time frame. I'll be checking in with you guys when possible!
Question of the day- anyone else have a vacation planned for this summer? Where to? And if not, what is your dream vacation destination?
We are doing a road trip to visit family but will also be stopping in St. Louis and Chicago. Should be fun. :)
I FINALLY got my confirmation letter today!! I have a feeling mine was delayed because I was having a course substitution for microbio done and that confirmation saying the substitution was complete came today as well!!
