PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

I have yet to receive a letter as well ! I decided to call West Campus today and I spoke to one of the ladies in the committee that handles the applications and she stated she has not sent out any letters yet and there are 54 seats open for the transition program and she has received 122 applications total for the transition program !! She said 68 people as of now will be turned away í ½í¸•

Oh man! I applied for the rn track and received confirmation letters about two weeks after i turned them in

any letters of acceptance or confirmation of apps?

And I will call again and ask for reesie. I am just appaulled at how rude the lady was!

Mm, by any chance was her name Connie? I emailed her. She is really nice. Just waiting on a reply.

Sweet101, yes I believe her name was Connie

Everytime I call to ask how many seats are available for the generic rn track I get a different answer. 48..36..72..54...does anyone know for sure?

I think it is 72 total seats for the generic RN. 24 seats at each Porter, East and West. I received confirmation letters for completed applications for both Porter and East about two weeks after I submitted them. I don't understand why they are making this so complicated as it's stressful enough that we have to wait so long. Does anyone know how many applications there were for generic?

Ok just got a reply from Connie. She said she is still reviewing the applications and letters have not all been sent out yet. As for acceptance letters she said end of July.

I submitted my application for the transition program on the 15th and I received my letter on the 19th.....

They're probably just a little backed up. I'm sure a bunch of applicants rushed to get their apps in the day of the deadline. I would wait another week and see if you get them and then call

They are also dealing with 2nd year nursing packets that have to be turned in by the 10th.....yup, you get a whole list of crap you have to turn in all over again so make sure you put all of your records in a handy place.

The wait is agonizing.....BUT, you're all in the homestretch!

One day closer! How's everyone holding up?

Question of the day: When we all receive our acceptance letters, who will you tell first? Will you do anything to celebrate?

I'll be telling my husband/kids, then you guys. Haha. And maybe we will go out to dinner and I will drink all the drinks and finally relax!
