Hey everyone!
I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Thanks!
This is how I do it
Pre req / 4.0 x .45= gpa portion
Teas score x .50 = teas portion
if you are a resident or not just add+ .05
when doing the teas portion you have to convert to decimal lets say you have a 80% you'll have to do .80 x .50= teas portion
YesExample:
GPA 4.0*25=100*.45=45
TEAS 80/2=40
Resident +5
45+40+5= would have an entrance score of 90 for the program
Any more Bridge applicants???I called and I was told there was 43 applicants total for Bridge program.
I have. How many other people on this thread have do you know? I wasn't sure how to respond to this earlier. Do you know how they plan on completing this program? Usually it is 2 semesters to complete. Do you know if they plan on giving us the summer off?
I am not sure.I am assuming we will not have any breaks and carry on thru summer. So what was your teas score? I noticed you did not post your scores? I am feeling a little lonely .I believe there is only one other bridge applicant that posted scores.
Gosh I am slow on this site:-0 sorry for duplicates! 68.8% was my score. I just can't see why they would make us do more in this program than others. Everyone I know who has done the bridge is only two semesters with more than half of the final semester being a shadowing practice. Literally no class time just interning with an RN for that final half of a semester.
As far as being accepted. It just depends on the spread of scores that came in.
Right. If I don't get in because the competition is so thick. I am confident for the August 2015 bridge. There are more slots open then. My entire 2008 LPN class has completed the bridge except one other than myself. All with similar scores. Did you complete your LPN at PHSC?
