  1. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a PMHNP student looking to establish a professional relationship while having an opportunity to intern at your facility. I am a student of St.Thomas University located in Wesley Chapel, Fl. I am a compassionate licensed registered nurse offering 20 + years of experience in medical case management. My experience has included working in private homes, nursing facilities, and hospice care settings. Much of my work has been with geriatric patients and patients with mental health disabilities, some severely impaired. Working with older adults and mentally challenged clients has given me an extensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policies and procedures. I am very familiar with rehabilitative patient care, including the implementation of comprehensive treatment plans as well as pre-and post-surgical patient care and protocols. I have become especially skilled at assessing patient needs and catering to those needs while carefully monitoring patient progress so care can be adjusted as needs change. My enclosed resume shows the experience I have had coordinating patient care with a wide range of other health care professionals such as prescribing physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and physical and occupational therapists. I have also supervised, trained, and educated caregivers working under my direction to assure everyone is compliant with patient care protocols. My personal work ethic has developed along with my work experience. I believe that working as an RN requires the highest level of professionalism—whatever it takes—to assure my patients are receiving the best care possible. The decisions I make can have an immediate and lasting impact on a patient’s health and well-being, and I take this very seriously. I am totally committed to the patients in my care, and to achieving the objectives set forth by the hospital/facility or medical staff who directly supervise my work. Should you choose to provide me with professional guidance and preceptor me, I believe you will find me to be quick to learn and eager to initiate self-directed work when appropriate. I would greatly appreciate the chance to meet you in person and discuss the opportunity to work with you in the future. I can be reached by phone at (806) 241-0999 or by email at [email protected]. Thank you for your consideration.
  2. I'm in 530 psychopathology with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). This is my first experience with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) on the other hand I have had her for all of the major courses. She has not been easy instructor.
  3. I am currently enrolled and I have had to drop classes on 2 occasions related to incorrect text book posted at the bookstore.I have experienced difficulties throughout the program such as studying for test and test content was not over material covered. It seems unfair to a student that is paying cash money for the program that the instructors are not all concerned on why students are failing. Luckily I have managed to pass all of the classes. But I am concerned on how they can continue to run the program in this manner without any consequences for their actions. I Wish I knew who to report the school to for investigation of deceitful practice. Sadly to say it appears to be Nurses that have more experience and still cannot behave in a professional manor.Instructors should be more then willing to advocate for fairness and equitable learning experience for all. This is not the case at St.Thomas in Miami
  4. Even better. But you can work in hospice with your CNA as some companys pay as much as 15.00 hour.
