Hey everyone!
I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Thanks!
Wow! thanks for sharing that schedule..It's going to be difficult doing this and working full time..but hopefully something works out for me.
No problem Souled. If you post your Cum. GPA, TEAS, and if you are a Pasco or Hernando Resident they will calculate your score and add you to our list that is on pg. 32...
Sorry for delay everyone!! As for stats of those of us in this semester, we had a running list too. I dont have it saved but i'll try to find the page. Check under PHCC 2014 Fall HOpefuls (or click my profile and search my previous posting to get you to the right forum) ScarletJones posted an updated list even noting who made it so that would be the best list to find (again, i'll search too)Honestly, scores calculated in the low 80% got in!! You are all looking good!
Here you go everyone :-)

hope it builds some confidence!
As for professors and class. We are all in one class. The two professors trade off teaching lecture (Tuesday 9:00-2:30)
Then there are 3 clinical instructors. (Class is Tues and Thurs 8:00-3:00) Again, all in one class. The two professors take turns teaching clinical skill. The class is divided into three equal groups. Each group is assigned a clinical instructor. Each instructor goes to a different hospital for clinicals. That will be your clinical group for the duration of your schooling.

This is the current running list Souled, like previously stated anyone who sees this post add your information of Pre req gpa, teas, campus, and if you applied for rn or lpn both. Everyone posting they don't know why they have a meeting if it's just based on scores? maybe it's just because they need people to sit down and fold all the papers and put them in the envelops , considering all the people who applied. I'm sure they have a lot of letters to sort and mail out on who got in and who got denied. I also believe they do the LPN selecting at the same time. MAMAberry, list might be a reference but if you look at their spread it's a lot higher than ours, I believe springs scores are a little lower and less competitive I see more people have posted their scores on here as well so maybe that's a good sign to.

I forgot to mention that I am confused about the 2 lecture classes and 6 clinicals. If 24 go into Porter and 48 into West campus, why are the classes split evenly with equal number of classes at each campus. Maybe they will split 36 and 36 or admit more and do a 48 and 48 split...
