I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Yes, we have until Monday to turn them in. If we don't then we lose our seat. You would think they would tell you for sure if you got in or not and if not, they should explain the reason why....especially with your score.
It is strange that they aren't telling us if we got in or not. I got accepted to the LPN(west) program but havn't heard from the RN generic program. I went to accept my position for LPN and they said to wait because I'd be forfeiting my seat if I did get into the RN program. Talk about being annoying...I have to wait until Monday to see If I am accepted, then hurry to PHSC before 4pm to accept either position?
Also,... is Connie even going to be in on Friday? Does that mean pretty much anyone who hasn't had a letter, will be getting a denial letter on monday?
Last semester is seemed more oragnIzed cause they sent out all the letters (acceptance, alternates and denials) at the same time. We all received ours on or around the same day...
It is weird, though...I received my LPN acceptance and than almost 4 days later got my RN acceptance. Why not just send them both at the same time?
They literally made it harder on themselves bc everyone is emailing and calling phsc whether it be about where their letter/email is or when orientation is. They should've just let everyone know at the same time. I'm just mad no one has bothered to send me my (denial) letter yet!!!!! So annoying
I completely agree! The not knowing is the hardest part and if they sent everyone their letters at the same time then everyone would know what was going on! These emails just confused everything.
Corey, do you have anything on your application that might raise a red flag? poor overall GPA(not prereq gpa)? a lot of failed classes in the past? withdrawn from other programs at PHSC? I can't think of a single reason, besides those, why you wouldn't have been notified.
Nope. I have a 4.0 overall. Never failed, never withdrew or audited or anything like that. My mother and I will probably drive the 45 minutes to west campus on Monday to see whats going on since no one will tell me anything over the phone.
Yeah, I called Connie twice and left her a voice mail. She doesn't reply. I tried calling around and seeing if I could get some questions answer, but all they do is redirect me to her. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time with this. I'd be completely furious if I was you and didn't get in. Did you apply for LPN or just RN/generic?
