Hey everyone!
I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Thanks!
Received my letter today, I did not get in.... I am very upset but my composite isn't very high. I applied for the transition program. I called and asked what was the lowest composite to get in and I was told for transition the lowest was a 77%. I will definitely try again next year but it seems as if PHSC is starting to be extremely competitive.
Hmm. I think there is more to it than just the composite scores to get in. I know people with lower composite scores than me that got in...
There is so much to do before orientation. They need to finish sending out all those letters! I really hope you get your letter soon Corey, I know you will!!
MM14, this is my second attempt at applying and I just barely made it. Keep trying! The teas was SO difficult for me too, I think I took it 6 times before I got a good score I was OK with.
Really? By Monday? Then I'm probably not in.
Yes, I received a letter about a week after I submitted my application saying that they received my application, pre-reqs were done, and that they had everything they needed.
As for my GPA, overall it's a 4.0.
But enough about me! What kind of stuff does everyone need to have done by orientation? What part of the program are you least looking forward to? Lecture or Clinicals?

Hey Corey, are these scores for the generic program only the TEAS composite scores?or is this the score with GPA/TEAS/Residency calculated?
