PHSC Fall 2016 Hopefuls

Published

Hi all!! I'm starting this new thread in hopes of finding some returning or new applicants to PHSCs Fall 2016 RN orogram! This will be my 4th time applying 3rd in a row..... I'm planning on retaking my Teas to try for a better composite score.. will be applying to all available campuses for the RN transition program! :-)

If I were you guys, I'd be in a bit of a panic mode. Everyone who turned in an app should have received a confirmation letter within a few days. I literally got my confirmation letter 3 days later.

I would email, call, go see some people relentlessly until you get an answer - because something went wrong somewhere, and I have to imagine decisions will be made very very soon.

If it were me in your position, I'd pretty much be living near the nursing director's office until I got it sorted out.

I called Connie several times with voicemails and never heard back. I just sent her and Nancy an email last night. I know of several people who haven't received letters. It seems like there were MANY applicants, at least on the day that I applied, so I'm hoping nothing got lost in translation. Way to make me even more stressed :arghh:

I've also followed several threads, even on years that I did not apply, and this seems to be the least active I've seen yet. Could be good, could be bad (ya sneaky people :p).

I turned in my application on May 23rd in person, the girl in admissions went through my application packet to make sure I had everything in order and gave me stamped receipt. I did not receive a letter either.

I called Nancy yesterday, she said that Connie is in charge of it and she is a bit unsure of how the letters are sent out but thinks letters are sent out as they are processed.

I called Connie and left a voicemail but have yet to get a response.

I think if they made the process more transparent it would be easier on them and less stressful on us. They have that Wise website where you can view all of you academic information why not put application status on there. That way they aren't having to make so many calls to confirm peoples information they can just direct us to the website. Plus its password protected so your information is reasonably safe.

I was reading past threads and someone was accepted into the program but never received a letter or email and no one could/would tell him his status. He almost missed the deadline to accept his seat because of this. It makes me nervous that it may happen to me.

Have you been able to get ahold of Connie? I'm in the same boat as you. I was able to speak to Nancy who then referred me to Connie but she has not responded to my email or calls.

I applied last year and got a letter that I was not accepted due to gpa, so you should have gotten a letter either way, stating whether or not you met the min requirnments. So def check into it. Also I emailed Connie she is out of the office so that is probably why you didn't get a reply.

Thank you for your recent inquiry. I am out of the office. The College is currently operating on a four day work week Monday through Thursday and will be closed on Fridays through August 12th. PHSC will resume a five day work week beginning August 15, 2016.

NOT SURE WHEN SHE IS COMING BACK BUT THIS IS WHAT I GOT LAST WEEK

I did finally get the letter in the mail yesterday. It was dated the 9th. Hopefully everyone else receives theirs soon!

Since I absolutely cannot get ahold of Connie, I called admissions. They said that the approval letters are still being processed. Not the acceptance letters, but the approval that your application meets the guidelines. So don't fret if you have not heard anything yet.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the site, but follow up every now and then. I just wanted to say I've applied to both the LPN and RN programs for both campuses West and Porter. I've only received one confirmation letter on the 18th for one program to one campus out of the four. So the waiting game is going strong!
