PHSC Fall 2016 Hopefuls

Published

Hi all!! I'm starting this new thread in hopes of finding some returning or new applicants to PHSCs Fall 2016 RN orogram! This will be my 4th time applying 3rd in a row..... I'm planning on retaking my Teas to try for a better composite score.. will be applying to all available campuses for the RN transition program! :-)

94.0 on the TEAS, 3.77 GPA. Not a resident.

89.4 composite.

Applied for RN at Porter (no other campus), but it was honestly my last resort in case I can't get into the three other programs I've applied for.

I applied for 2 programs at USF - it's my first choice but RIDICULOUSLY competitive, and I have no confidence about being accepted at USF.

I applied for the program at Polk - it's my second, although very acceptable choice that I know I would be very happy with. (Polk beat out PHSC because after the 1st semester you can start taking BSN classes). Unless something goes horribly wrong, my TEAS, GPA, and points from my previous bachelor's degree have guaranteed me a seat in Polk's program (I have 137 points in their admissions formula - they usually accept anyone over 110ish).

Good luck everybody!

One more question... Is it 5 points or 5 % for a Pasco or Hernando resident?

Well, it's a 100 point scale, so it's both...

I made it into lpn with a 67 last year

Not alot of posts on here for mid june. this is surprising.

@KarolAnn,

I hope that's a good sign lol

i hope so too. lol

I'm hoping that the lack of posting means there is not to much competition this year! I've read through previous years of phsc nursing hopefulls and there seemed to be a lot more activity. I'm anxiously waiting to see when the first acceptance letter goes out!

Hopefully they dont wait as long as last year

Has anyone gotten their "application accepted" letter? We're supposed to get an email and in-person email.

I got the letter a few days after submitting it.

into the program? No its too early

thats just the application letter
