PHSC Fall 2016 Hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!! I'm starting this new thread in hopes of finding some returning or new applicants to PHSCs Fall 2016 RN orogram! This will be my 4th time applying 3rd in a row..... I'm planning on retaking my Teas to try for a better composite score.. will be applying to all available campuses for the RN transition program! :-)

ypo have to calculate your gpa using the letter grades you recieved. You can google gpa calculator.

One more question... Is it 5 points or 5 % for a Pasco or Hernando resident?

I am so happy that I found this site of people that are stressing out as much as I am. I need to retake the TEAS by the end of this month. I did horribly on the TEAS and is currently studying for it. My current Teas score is 64%, my pre-req GPA is 3.75 and I am a Pasco resident. How do we compute our score? I am applying for the LPN RN transition program.

Submitting my application this morning! Good luck everyone!

So glad I found this. I just turned in my application to WC. GPA 3.54, Teas 78, and Pasco Resident. So I believe that gives me a score of 83.8. Does anyone know if your overall college career GPA is taken into consideration?

Hi!

I just took the TEAS and got an 81.3 and have a pre-req GPA of 4.0. As a Pasco resident I believe that has me at 90.5. I am worried the applications will be heavier since it is the last chance to register without microbiology as a pre-req :/.

Anyway, I wanted to join the conversation as I am submitting my app tomorrow and will love to have company for this waiting game! Anyone know when we might find out whether we are in or not based on previous years?

applying to lpn program west campus. Pasco resident. 76.7 teas score

I don't think so, when I visited an adviser she told me it was strictly based on your TEAS score, pre req GPA and residency.

Just applied to the RN generic program yesterday so this question may be premature but with other programs I have heard that you can test for your LPN license while going through the RN program. Does anyone know is this is the same for PHSC and if so when are we allowed to test?

Yes im pretty sure I don't live in Pasco and my GPA is only 2.8 and teas was only 67. I emailed and asked if LPN experience helped or if having the co-reqs helped (nutrition and comp) and she said specifically GPA and TEAS. I got the confirmation letter but I hear fall is hard to get into and my composite is so low. Waiting until the end of July is torture! She said they have 34 spots at west campus and 34 at porter campus.

Unfortunately, I did not do well on the TEAS. I am not going to apply to the RN program (even though I have everything else completed) but I am considering applying to the LPN program. Does anyone know if a TEAS score of 62 would even have a chance?
