  1. I was accepted for the LPN program at Porter and got a confirmation of my acceptance. Does anyone know when they will follow up with us again?
  2. Per their FAQ it's supposed to be end of June: "When will I find out if I have been selected for the next nursing class? The Selection Committee will meet in mid October for January applications and in mid June for August applications and letters should be sent out by the end of October for January admission and late June for August admission." I haven't even received a confirmation letter...
  3. So I'm looking to complete an LPN program. I looked up the accreditation and it's showing the school is accredited for the RN program associates level but doesn't come up when I look for the practical nurse. Does the RN program accreditation cover the LPN because it's a lower degree or do they need to have separate accreditation? Some of the other schools listed for Florida have them for both the LPN and RN but I'm not sure if that is a mistake of the website adding them to both lists instead of just the higher degree.
  4. I called Nancy yesterday, she said that Connie is in charge of it and she is a bit unsure of how the letters are sent out but thinks letters are sent out as they are processed. I called Connie and left a voicemail but have yet to get a response. I think if they made the process more transparent it would be easier on them and less stressful on us. They have that Wise website where you can view all of you academic information why not put application status on there. That way they aren't having to make so many calls to confirm peoples information they can just direct us to the website. Plus its password protected so your information is reasonably safe. I was reading past threads and someone was accepted into the program but never received a letter or email and no one could/would tell him his status. He almost missed the deadline to accept his seat because of this. It makes me nervous that it may happen to me.
  5. I didn't get a letter either. I turned mine in in-person though, would that make a difference?
  6. Just applied to the RN generic program yesterday so this question may be premature but with other programs I have heard that you can test for your LPN license while going through the RN program. Does anyone know is this is the same for PHSC and if so when are we allowed to test?
  7. Hi, I just took my TEAS test yesterday I got an 81.3% but my GPA is a 3.2 and I'm not a Pasco or Hernando county resident. My composite score comes out to a 76 (if I did that correctly...not too sure). Does anyone know what the average composite score for last year's program was? Also what is everyone getting, I'm not quite sure where I stand in regards to other applicants? P.S I'm applying for the RN Generic program.
