PHSC Fall 2016 Hopefuls

Published

Hi all!! I'm starting this new thread in hopes of finding some returning or new applicants to PHSCs Fall 2016 RN orogram! This will be my 4th time applying 3rd in a row..... I'm planning on retaking my Teas to try for a better composite score.. will be applying to all available campuses for the RN transition program! :-)

oh im sorry i didnt read previous posts.

i got mine a few days after i turned it in also

I wish it came this early! I'm ready to find out. If I don't get in I may do the paramedic route and work on prerequisites for RN. I didn't receive any email?

they didnt send me an email they sent a letter

Never got a letter. That makes me nervous. I got one when I did LPN.

I didn't get a letter either. I turned mine in in-person though, would that make a difference?

I turned mine in in person also. I would call and check if you didnt get a letter. They may just be behind in sending them out.

Maybe LPN / ADN application acceptance letters come first because the actual acceptance/ denial/ alternative come first for LPN. Maybe. Or they could just be slacking because of all the applications. I put mine in the beginning of May.

Someone was doing the composite score but didn't have my residency info. I have a 78.8 teas and 4.0 prereq. I am going to be considered a pasco resident. Can someone please help me figure my score?

From what the advisor told me, the committee is meeting in mid june. Hopefully this week, and by the time the letters go out it will be the beginning of July.

If I were you guys, I'd be in a bit of a panic mode. Everyone who turned in an app should have received a confirmation letter within a few days. I literally got my confirmation letter 3 days later.

I would email, call, go see some people relentlessly until you get an answer - because something went wrong somewhere, and I have to imagine decisions will be made very very soon.

If it were me in your position, I'd pretty much be living near the nursing director's office until I got it sorted out.

I'm hoping that the lack of posting means there is not to much competition this year! I've read through previous years of phsc nursing hopefulls and there seemed to be a lot more activity. I'm anxiously waiting to see when the first acceptance letter goes out!

You know, I'm following 3 threads because I applied at 3 schools - there is not a ton of activity on any of them. When you look at previous semesters, they can get REALLY involved.

USF sent out notices of interviews today (I got one!), and they sent denials to those who didn't get an interview - and even with that happening today there were only a handful of posts on that thread...

I wonder what would make this semester have less activity on here for all of the schools in the area?
