Phillips Beth Israel Applicants

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....

Just an FYI, check with your school if they will accept a CPR course from anywhere other than the American Heart Association. I am going to a NS on LI and I found out at orientation that the Red Cross CPR course I had just taken could not be used. I was told that (according to the school) that the hospitals required the course from the American Heart Association and that I had to retake the course. Just a heads up.

for whoever asked about the drug test, we get a form when we go for the health assessment, and have to go to the place to get drug tests on our own time.

the results are then sent to the hospital

I think I will attend the session tomorrow night. Hoping it is worth it since I will have to cut my trip short to get back into the city.

they really didn't say anything we didnt already know from the website.

an email will be going out with step by step directions on how to register on monday.

Has anyone heard anything about financial aid yet? I know they said they we're stilling working on scholarship apps but I was just wondering. Being as we start in two and half weeks I figured they'd want the tuition paid! LOL
