Phillips Beth Israel Applicants

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....

I am going to do a combination. I can get one of my A&P books much cheaper online. But the other is a brand new edition so I'll just get it at the store if a search doesn't turn up a better price. Expensive!

I actually ordered everything on the "recommended" page for nur 100 & 101, gonna get the PDA stuff, and hold off for the "suggested" books, try to find them cheaper, don't know if that'll actually work.

Hi guys!

I've read reviews online stating that the PDA software for some of the required texts we need do not work on Mac systems. Does anyone know if this is true or does anyone have any suggestions? I have a MacBook and I am worried about not being able to install these programs onto my computer to update my PDA.

hi all! wondering if anyone has done the scrubs fitting today and could tell me what it was like. I have a conference call with work this afternoon, so I'm trying to plan my day. Do you need to have that form we got in the acceptance package? about how long did it take?

It will only take like 5 min. There r guys in the cafeteria on the 3rd floor to try on the lab coat. Then the unifroms r in the bathroom. U should bring ur paper to order but if u forget I think I saw extra on the table.

Sheesh, is it just me, or do you have, like, a 20% of actually getting someone on the phone when you call the school? :p

Does anyone know anything about the math for medications exam (to be exempt)? I asked Mrs. **** and she said it takes place during orientation, but on the calendar it says that exam is for level 2.

Hey, I'm student at PBISN returning this year (completed first year of three years). I haven't received an email about the health assessment. I would also like to know if anyone got a book list or has that not been given yet?

I talked with other students who are in the three year program and are now starting clinical, and they haven't received any word on the health assessment or booklist. Do you mind sharing the health assessment information and the booklist? Maybe send me an email?

Sorry to post twice in a row. A lot of the three year students who are moving up to traditional are not getting these emails (uniforms, booklist, etc), I'll talk to Ms. * when she gets back (on Aug. 2). Keep me updated you guys, my worst fear is that I won't receive the email that tells us to register! Eek! Thanks so much, you've all been a great help! To think what would have happened if I didn't stumble across this thread! :redbeathe
